Mobile Spa Contractors/Pay

Hi everyone! I am a new member to this forum. I have done some searches on this topic but I haven't found anything that answers my specific question. Hopefully, someone will have some input!

I have been operating my mobile spa by myself for about a year. I would like to bring on some help so I can accomodate the requests for larger parties. I have hesitated before because I can't figure out how to pay! I will need to work with Massage Therapists as well as Nail Techs and/or Cosmetologists.

I know that I definitely want to work with independent contractors.

I provide all of the equipment, sheets, supplies, etc. so I can assure the clients are getting spa quality.

I make a site visit to the client's home and do a consultation for the spa party. I also provide all the music, decorations, etc.

I attend the parties and serve a facillitator making sure the event runs smoothly.

I would like to pay a contract rate of $ per hour, simply to keep a "teamwork" mentality. For example, if a nail tech is running behind, another one could step in and begin removing her next clients nail polish to keep things running on time. I'm afraid if I pay a commission, people might not step up and help if they are not getting paid to do that client? (I hate to sound pessimistic but I have been in the business for 10 years!)

That being said, if someone else is operating a mobile spa and paying a % I would be interested to know how it has worked for you-and what is the % you are paying?

If my reasoning for an hourly rate makes sense- how much per hour would you be satisfied with? Until business really gets going, this will be an occasional gig for the spa therapists- they will not be making their livings off of doing the spa parties, but making some extra money here & there.

Because I have purchased all the equipment, maintain a website, advertise and commit my time to the site visit and party, it needs to be worth my while as well! But, I am also a service provider so I know how we want to make the money, too! It has to be win-win or it doesn't make sense! (For the sake of conversation, most services average about $100 an hour cost to the client)
