I've been looking at some of the posts here and I just wanna correct some misconceptions,..guys, moscow is not a dangerous place, there are those that will try to scare you but usually they want something, like this stella person who keeps posting reviews of incidents,.. there are also some long-term expats here who seem to enjoy both scaring newcomers and then promising to help them whilst leeching money off them. They're easy to spot, tell 'em to f@%$ off. There are some excellent posts here on the main attractions, boarhouse, the tochkas, the numerous cheap internet sites, (yes you can get home delivery for $50 and hour, but I do recommend renting, the hotel may ask you for money or give you a hard time) and you can still get an all nighter at the boarhouse for $100, hell if you're a regular it's cheaper and she might even cook you breakfast if she likes you. You can get the girls numbers and avoid the boarhouse/agents altogether, although the boarhouse is a damn fine place, cheap food, cheap beer. If you're here for a while you can meet nice girls on the street, metro, anywhere, most you'll have to take out three times before they'll sleep with you though, but they're generally nice girls. (there seems to be a rule about the three times thing) There's some student clubs where they do things like have the quickest headjob competitions (park avenue disco is one and they have a website) I've never had a problem with the duck although I believe others when they say the have. I have heard some stories, but if you're sensible you'll have no problem. If you've got any questions ask me, i'll answer them.
