Movie Vs MP

Ok, last night, I took one of my kids to see a movie.


Talk about Hose - er- ama.

Man oh Man, We must have spent what I spend to see a MP.

My advice:

DON'T GO TO MOVIES.

Rent one.... they will watch it over and over and over anyway.

And then you have enough cash to see your fav MP.

It was a harsh lesson learned.

Since you put it that way, I'd rather spend time with my kid, than a girl I dont know. Just my opinion.

Spend time with the kid... rent a movie.

What I was talking about was how much the theatres charge for the whole package.

I'd still rather spend $100 on my kids to take them out and have a good time,
rather than spend it on a stranger. Most kids rather go out than stay in and
stare at the TV set.

Just my opinion.

Go to rainbow cinemas and sneak in food and drinks.

Get the kids to entertain you.
Tell them they have one week to come up with a first class comedy skit, drama, thriller or soap opera using puppets and stage they must create on their own.
It must have an original music score.
Encourage and teach them to amuse themselves.

Granted, most movies aren't worth going to the theatre, but there are some that you just have to go and/or take your kids to the theatre - Star Wars, Troy, etc.

As an aside, it's not a good idea to compare your normal expenses with your MP expenses, they are apples and oranges. For example, I spent $140 on a massage yesterday, today I bought a vcr/dvd combo for only $100, and if you think about it, your whole family can have several nice meals for $140, but I still feel that the $140 I spent was worth every penny because I felt great and it made me feel alive. Enough rambling. I need a drink or another massage.

No one does more for their kids than me, believe me.

Do not go to movies often, just thought it was a rip off.

I do agree, a really good movie is good to see on big screen.

Also, will take treats for the kids ie sneak them in.

When they start with DAAAAAAD, I just break down.

No need to apologize... people's attempt to turn it into parenting 101 was pretty ridiculous. I am shocked how much it costs to go to the movies sometimes... as for sneaking in food, went to one show lately and the mom starts pulling 10 bags from mcdonald's from under her jacket. I thought I was gonna hurl from the fried dead animal carcass smell that permeated the theater.

Don't you hate going in a public place and that happens?

Nothing like jou-jubes and pop though. Maybe licorice.

Admit in my younger days we used to pour the old liquor into the pop containers.
