MPA Faux Pas?

I only have the time and money to go get a massage every few months and of course most of them have been enjoyable. Last week however when getting a massage (spa and MPA will not be named) the attendant ask for the money up front, first time I have ever been asked for payment upfront. Which is fine it is your right to asked to paid upfront. However after giving the MPA the money she did not put it away she left on it the table for the whole session. Is this a normal practice? cause I have never had it happen to me in the 20+ massages I have gotten. Maybe I am just paranoid but it made the session far less enjoyable seeing the money sitting on the table every time I got up or rolled over.

I'm not really sure what the dealio is, but it's not exactly normal to leave the $ lying around. The idea is to minimise the $ factor.

Dude, she was just f**king with your mind. By making you see the money over and over again, she probably thought you may decide to add a few more bills at the end and give her an extra tip.

I have been to a couple of non mainstream spas where the girl asked for money up front. This is an absolute mood killer and I never went back.

PS I don't mind paying up front. It gets it out the way coz afterwards ya just wanna bask in the glow, if indeed you are glowing. Not to mention your mind isn't always as "alert" and you might forget (it happens).

It used to be, although I have not seen it done recently,
that the mpa/owner recommended the girls to have customer
or girl place the money on the table/end table so that if
he was a boy in blue, he could not charge for soliciation
because the mpa did not receive the money or have it in
her possession. Go Figure!

Maybe the MP where she worked had been ripped off a few times by clients who don't carry enough cash. I heard stories like this from MPAs before. They always promise to come back and pay the balance, but they never do.

Actually, I don't mind paying up front. Utopia does this and it just gets things out of the way. Sometimes I pay upfront even if they don't ask.

One advantageous factor (and I know some people frown on this) is the tipping. With my fav MPAs, I usually tip. When I pay upfront and tip as well, it make the session that much better. My way of saying I know that I'll be happy with the session.

Another is that I don't have to discuss the options. They know from the amount of cash that is given.

One last thing is that if the MPA is worried about being short changed, paying up front might get her mind off the cash. Probably will result in a better session.

I do agree that if an MPA asks for money up front and I know that it's not the norm, it does wreck the mood.

As I alluded to, I've actually walked away without paying, but obviously always returned once I gained my senses [as much as I ever would]

The fucked up part is that one MPA it happened with didn't say anything and I was half way up the street before I remembered. This actually happened twice with her. I never really understood that, but she was a master at minimising the $ factor and projecting it to seem almost irrelevant. Upon my return, she'd take the money without counting it; seemingly completely nonchalant and cool as a summer breeze [which can also be very hot]. MPAs like that are few and far between.... thigh high boots, huh ? ... *gulp* ... damn the cigar man.

sorry, I'm just reliving something here a little too vividly and I like the story.

PS It's understandable MPAs would be concerned abt not being paid though.
