The Nike x Hyperice boot is just the latest innovation in wearable technology and has been likened to having your own personal masseuse.
They are designed to bring the ultimate performance out of athletes
Containing a series of air-filled pockets known as dual-air Normatec bladders, which are connected to warming elements, the mobile shoe offers heat and dynamic air compression massage on demand.
The dual-air Normatec bladders are powered by battery packs in the insole, helping to evenly distribute heat throughout the entire upper.
This is designed to drive heat deep into the muscle and tissue in the foot and ankle, ensuring athletes can not only move and perform more naturally, but recover faster too.
If that wasn't enough, then those wearing the high-tech kicks can even synchronise the heat and compression in both feet at the press of a button.
There is also the option of running both feet individually, while the battery pack allowing athletes to select from three distinct levels of compression and heat.
They’re controlled using four small buttons on the heel of the shoe.
Athletes involved in testing of the futuristic product said they felt like they had already completed their warmup before even starting when wearing the shoes.
Tobie Hatfield, senior director of Nike Athlete Innovation, said the importance of "pre-recovery" has helped to influence the design of the new shoe.
“Recovery is an important part of any athlete’s journey, but we’re hearing from athletes that this concept of ‘pre-covery’ is equally as important,” he said.

“The footwear that we’ve developed with Hyperice help get the body ready for activity, whether you’re playing for a title or you’re on your feet a lot at work.”
NBA superstar LeBron James labelled the Nike x Hyperice boot a "gamechanger" during the testing phase more than a year ago.
He told Hyperice he "knew they were going to change the game for athletes’ warm-up and recovery" from the "moment" he tried them on.
Norwegian footballer Ada Hegerberg also said the new boots are already "very useful for many athletes."
Other professionals such as Kenyan long-distance runner Eliud Kipchoge, South Korean golfer Tom Kim, and Belgian athlete Nafi Thiam have sung the praises of their new equipment, too.
The diverse range in athletes shows that the shoe certainly fits for all kinds of sports and activities.
