Have any of you ever ordered from Mountain Rose Herbs?A family friend who is battling cancer for the third time is refusing treatment and is ordering all kinds of organic products from this company. I'm checking out their website right now for many reasons, but the biggest is for oils.Just wondering if this company has any kind of reputation, hopefully positive.Also, have any of you used Kukui Oil? The site says it's "particularly good for dry skin, psoriasis, acne and eczema." I have severely dry skin, and am developing eczema. Just curious. Thanks!

Yes, I have.  I have a really bad habit of getting totally manic about a new modality/technique/trick that I learn.When we had a taste of some salt/spa treatments without the need for a wetroom I went nuts. I made so much salt scrub/sugar scrub etc I wound up giving all of it away to friends.....(I was still only doing outcall so didn't incorporate the scrubs....).Getting back to the company.I have gotten lavendar-dried from them, as well as Chammomile.  Rose petals some EO's, bottles, jars, oils etc.All came promptly.  All came fresh.  No oils were ever rancid.I believe I got raw Shea from them and peeeewwwww I found that I truly dislike it.  I love Shea...but not the raw.So, The company gets an A from me.Hope this helps.Robyn

And since they are based out of the Twin Cities, they're one of the closest massage supply places for us to order from. Average shipping time to me is generally 2 days max.

I currently use the following products: Lotus Touch Therapeutic Oil Gel, Lotus Touch Extra Cold Pain Relief, Lotus Touch Therapeutic Muscle Ease (Super Hot)and Lotus Touch Multi-Purpose Cream. (I'm just ga-ga about their Oil Gel and their Multi-Purpose Cream.)

In addition, I have used their Lotus Touch Hydrating Rich Lotion,  their Moisture Rich Cream, their Ultralight Oil Complex, and Lotus Touch Cold Pain Relief and Lotus Touch Theraputic Muscle Ease (these last two are the original formulas of the products I use).

I purchased the original version of their Trial Pack when they first came out with the Lotus Touch massage oil product line. (1/2 price) If you are not sure what kind of products you would favor... then definitely give the trial pack a try.

On my "Wish List" is the Lotus Touch  Renewal Complex Package (face, hands and feet)... I always seem to find something I need more. You know how that is, right? LOL  I haven't tried their spa line (wraps, muds, scrubs), their brand of essential oils (I tend to use Young Living Essential Oils) and have to admit since many years ago I used to sell Mary Kay, their skin care line intrigues me.  LOL ;D Would like to give it a whirl some day too.

I've been a loyal customer of New Life Systems for about 6-7 years now.  As a matter of fact I'm such a big fan of their products that they've included stuff I have said about how much I like their products in their catalogs. (Testimonials):-[

Stacey, to answer your questions...I do wash my hands a lot, but I always moisturize TONS, so they aren't a problem.  I have extreme dryness in strange places, and the dry skin runs in my dad's side of the family.  Since summer is finally here, my skin is better, but in winter, my skin itches so bad that I want to rip it off.  In the winter I'll put olive oil on my whole body...it's the only one I've found that really soaks in and relieves some of the itch.  I don't know anything about getting enough sulphur.  My digestion is somewhat poor, due to adhesions from endometriosis.  My diet consists of about 70% of raw foods, which helps endometriosis, and *ehem* digestion.  When I work out, I sweat for about 20-25 minutes.  I use only olive oil when I cook, and I like to pour a little on pasta (yum!), and I put flax seed in salads.  I'm working hard right now on totally cutting out dairy.  (I haven't had much in about a month, but last night I HAD to have pizza for the premiere of Six Feet Under!  Ohhh, I'm paying for it now!)  I use all natural products in the shower, nothing with chemicals, because my skin can't handle them.  You seem to know a lot about this, so if you have any more suggestions, you have my complete attention!  I'd definitely like to know more about sulphur.  Is there a good way to get it into my diet without supplements?

Hi Jbb!I don't know much about the products, but if you need sulphur, I can always bottle some of my water and send it to you! I can always tell when someone is watering due to the smell of rotten eggs! Yep on a well, with Sulphur water. You could bathe in it to your hearts content!  ;D Drinking it is a little rough though!   (Thank goodness for RO systems!)I've also heard good results using liquid silver on psoriasis, I'm not sure about eczema. What about shea butter? Would that help? The stuff I have is from Wal-mart of all places, but has a lovely light nutty smell, and is extrememly moisturizing. I'm sure there are places that sell it organic too. (not sure if the stuff I have is or not).

Stacey, thanks for your post.  I've actually just begun using Progesterone cream for treatment of my endometriosis, and WOW does it make your skin soft!  I've finally thrown out the nasty synthetic birth control I was using to control my endo, and I'm going all-natural.  My thyroid has been tested several times in the last 5 years or so.  It has always been normal or borderline low/normal.  BUT, endometriosis can cause false negatives on thyroid tests, and the tests for celiac disease (which I think I also may have.)  Sorry I'm getting so personal with this stuff.I'll make a trip to the health food store to ask about sulphur.  Have to be careful there though.  The people who work at my local Grains & Greens believe everything they carry is magical.  I found "natural" soap there that contains SLS!  Chemicals!!!!  In the health food store!!!  UGH!

I received the products I ordered from Mountain Rose Herb Company and have had a chance to use them.I absolutely love the massage oils in the sampler.  I've tried two of them and am quite happy with both their scent and glide.  Initially I thought the Goddess Dreams would be a bit overpowering, however, once I tried it I found the scent to be quite soothing and the women I've used it on thoroughly enjoyed it.  I used the Arnica/St John's mix on an older client who deals with arthiritic pain.  I saw her later in the day and she mentioned that she really liked what I did in our session earlier.I will be trying the Autumn Moon oil soon.I haven't tried all of the incense but what I have burned does so quite evenly and all the way down to the nub.

I have ordered from Mt. Rose Herbs and for the most part have been pleased.  However, I ordered a gal of grapeseed oil from them which is generally odorless and it had a VERY strong earthy odor - I had to send it back... all the way to the left coast - I live in MA!  I have since found http://www.fromnaturewithlove.com based in CT so shipping costs are much lower!  I recommend them as well.I too have the bad habit of getting on kicks where I buy all kinds of ingredients for special treatments and find I have more stuff than I will ever use!  Learning to reign myself in.

Essential oils from Young Living are what I'm using for aromatherapy, they sell a massage oil too, but for the price I think I'll be able to find something more cost effective.
