One must be absolutely mad to even enter one of those lousy cabarets in Pigalle.
It's like those similarly seedy places in Soho in London.

One good plan if you are looking for a good evening of fun, is to find a girl to help you get in one of the numerous swap clubs ( clubs echangistes). Single males are rarely admitted, and if they are, it means that the club will be ful of males, and perhaps only a few females.. Either you can find a GF interested, or just get a professionnal on internet, for around 500 Euros for the whole night. Once you get into the club, you can enjoy a full evening of sex with all sorts of peole, young, rich, or old and ugly, depending on your taste.. All clubs echangistes are listed at the end of poarisciope.It's very fashionable, and you cam meet some cebrities, not only french, some americans as well. ( One US senator lost his job recently for having dragged his wife there. She did not like it, and told the press.. Ah AHa)

Be very carefull when you walk on Pigalle. Many scams.

Many travel books now have a special note about Pigalle telling the tourists to be very carefull.

I worked in a little cabaret on Pigalle about 10 years ago. From what I know it hasn't change much since... let me give you 2 examples.

Sexshops: You walk in a sexshop and some sexy lady offers you a private show in a cabin. Then, once you are in and horny, she will tell you that for some extra $, she will "perform" a BJ. You want to get sucked so you pay. Then she starts to "perform" a BJ on a dildo.

In this case trying to fight to get your money back seems useless to me.

Of course there is many variations. lol I heard about similar stories on St-Denis also but I think Pigalle is worst. Remember that your chances of getting sex in a Sexshop or any similar place are very small. It is illegal and they don't want to take chances. But, they will try to scam tourists.

Cabarets: I'm not talking about the Moulin Rouge of course ! lol Talking about the small ones on Pigalle. Many guys on the street will try to take you in one of those places. Can't miss them. I was one of them... yeah I was very young and travelling... When they offered me to work there I though I was the luckiest guy on earth ! lol I changed my mind pretty fast...

They guy at the door will lie to you. He has no basic salary and gets a % of what you will spend. For example, he will promess you a great show. In the evening there is strippers, very bad ones. On day time don't expect there is one even if he tells you there is.

You go in. Get a drink. Some lady sits at your table and starts talking to you. After 2 minutes she will say she is thirsty and will ask if it's ok "to have a drink with you". What you don't know (they don't clearly say) is YOU are paying for the drink. And of course ladies drinks are VERY expensive. So you had 2 beers, no sex, a bad strip show and... a 200euros bill ! lol

In this case you can try not to pay. I cannot guarantee it's the same everywhere but I know that in my place we pushed has much has possible to get paid but, in the worst case if custumer was really resisting we just let him go. It's a scam and last thing they want is police going there for that.

I remember a "Legionaire" who took a look at the bill, standed up and walked out telling us to go fuck ourselves !!! Nobody tried to stop him. Try at your own risks. lol

About getting sex with one of the girls in those cabarets... I never saw a girl walk out with a custumer. I don't say it doesn't happen but I say it's unlikely it happens. For sure it's not a good place to hunt pussy.

There is other scams not related to sex that I won't tell you about here.

Important thing to remember is Pigalle is really not safe. You may end up with what you want but, there's so many scams...
In my opinion it doesn't worth the risk.

The only "safe" place seems to be the peep shows.
Just make sure there's no holes in the cabin... some guy is behind it.
