Private Messages

I found the page listing Private Messages (but can't include the link as a newbie) and people talking PM'ing one another but even if I follow the Private Message link from the help, it tells me that I cannot use it.

Is Private Messaging disabled for everyone or just me because I am a newbie?

I think Newbie can't PM until you post a # of threads or something like that.
I joined 4 months ago and still can't PM yet!
This is a very annoying rule, this is a massage forum for god sake, not some kind of ethical forum.

I passed the 20 posts threshold and a couple of days later, I got the ability to PM. So this is what it is.

The help should be updated to explain this.

yes 20 posts is a long time...

All user profiles automatically update after you reach 20 posts.

If you are not able to send private messages after that, reply to this thread for support
