A 55-year-old Beaver Dam woman has been charged with keeping a place of prostitution related to her ownership of a former massage parlor in Beaver Dam.
Yanlan Li was the owner of Eden Massage at 1626 N. Spring St. If found guilty of the felony charge, Li could face up to three years in prison and three years of extended supervision.
According to the criminal complaint:
Beaver Dam police began investigating in August after receiving reports of sexual activity at the business. Police began speaking to people exiting the business. Two men told police they paid for sexual contact but said it did not involve intercourse. One of the men said there was no conversation about the sexual contact, but there were nonverbal cues.
The second man was questioned in Mayville and told police he had visited the establishment at least 10 times over the last several years. At least four others admitted being offered or receiving sexual services during their massages.
