Question about deep tissue massage...?

So I had a deep tissue massage the other day like I usually do each month and this time she worked alot on my lower back/butt. Usually she doesn't work that much on that spot and when she does it doesn't hurt that bad. This time though it hurt like heck! I was wondering what is connecting to the butt muscles that would make it hurt so much? Like why did it hurt so much in that area? Thanks! :))
