Question about getting STDS from kissing

Hey guys,

I went out with this girl a week ago and I kissed her on the mouth (no french kiss) at the end of the date and we didn't click so there was no second date. I am starting to see some things on my mouth. Should I get tested for STDS one week after we kissed or should I wait longer and get tested? I am afraid I might have got a STD from pecking her on the mouth and I have never got a STD from kissing someone. How should I proceed?

Rub it, and if it's tender it could be a cold sore
OTC antivirals aren't necessary just use Abreva
Licking your lips will probably make it worse, just keep it clean
Likely will go away if it doesn't scab

Ignore most of the guys here. Most of them have probably been swapping STDs around for decades.

It's possible you got herpes from kissing but oral herpes is pretty common. You can get tested but it likely won't show up in blood tests for a few months and even then you'd have to pay for the test I think. Up to you if you want to get tested but most people don't bother. Many don't even get symptoms after the first few weeks and pass it along unknowingly.
