The county newspaper is reporting that the Rockwood Police Department will be able to keep around $25,000 of money confiscated from a raid early last year at the 7 Massage parlor in the Walden Ridge Shopping Center (Former College Plaza Shopping Center) when a raid took place after an undercover agent went in to see if anything more than a massage would be offered.
According to the warrant, the masseuse offered additional services including sexual favors for more money. The owner, identified as Sook Campbell of Georgia, and an assistant, believed to be her daughter, identified as Shunya Jin.
Both were arrested in February last year following the raid and the report stated that Sook did not seek to keep the $24,700 that was seized in the sting operation. The Rockwood police were given the money after a judge’s ruling in the case. They now get it to place in their budget funds due to being seized as evidence both Campbell and Jin were charged with promoting prostitution.
The case against Jin was later dismissed, and Campbell received two years probation, was fined $100, and was not allowed back on the property.
Both are believed to have returned to their home State.
