seeing colours in reflexology treatment?

Hi guys,

I gave my friend a treatment, while i was working on her Oesphagus, Trachea, she said I can see colour purple, from light to deep purple, I said i thought you can only see colours with IHM, when you do the Chakra, I'm still very new at this as she was one of my case study, at the end of treatment she said, she feels real light headed, but her body feels heavy. i dont know is that good sign. can someone with more experince give me advice on this, she's coming back next week for her next treatment, i'm hoping to have some answers for her.

Firstly, I don't know much about this, only from my experience. When I receive treatments, I almost always see the colour purple! Apparently it is a healing colour.

When I was trying to quit smoking, I had a Reiki treatment and I kept seeing the colour green - I was told that this was anti-cancer.

I never see colours when I am giving a treatment. Although, since doing Reflexology, I have experienced several other things that are making me believe that I should take up Reiki.

So, hopefully, someone else might be able to throw more light on this for both if us.

thanks for the answer, i think you are right purple is for healing, i wish i would have more respond, maybe nobody experinced what you and my friend experinced, still a mystery to me.

i have clients who see colours when i am doing reflexology. i had one client who said she had lots of swirling yellows and green. purple is popular too.

i also had one client i remember particlularly, a heavily pregnant client actually, who felt pressure on her chest when i pushed the palms of my hands on the balls of her feet.

and unpleasantly enough, my friend was treating me the other night and i was convinced my jaw was going to lock as she was working that area of my foot... geddoff!!!!!!

i dont think its necessarily restricted to reiki to have these experiences, although, yes more likely, but we are working with subtle energies with all our treatments.

I find this subject very interesting, as I often see the colour purple and often wondered what it meant. As was mentioned in a previous post, I never see it whilst giving a treatment but often when receiving and once even saw it whilst lying in the dentist chair!

Sometimes green comes, but doesn't stay long but purple is the most frequent visitor

I find this fascinating as I had my first experience of this last week. My friend was giving me a massage and whilst she was doing the feet I saw swirls of green and purple.

Does any one know where I would look up this sort of thing as neither of us had heard of it before?

I think the reason you aren't getting too many replies is that this is on the Reflexology forum. Obviously it's logical it's here, but I think if this were on the Reiki forum you'd have had a lot more replies.

The colours are how many of us perceive healing energy that's being chanelled through us. If your friends / clients are seeing colours then you are passing them healing energy as well as the actual treatment you are giving them. We can all act as channels for this healing energy, but a lot of us need to be attuned e.g. to Reiki before we know we can. Others (often who have been drawn to the conventional healing professions) can naturally use this energy.

Although some of us seem to see the same colours, you won't necessarily be able to relate the colour to a particular physical ailment, for example. I too see purple and have myself come to take it as the presence of healing energy. My clients see all sorts of colours and some have a particular ailment but see different colours to another person with that ailment.

I suggest a cross-post onto the Reiki forum? people there are more used to seeing colours and can perhaps give more insight than I can.

Thanks for the links Aromababe, I didn't think tat I would be interested in Reiki but what I have read on these posts is so fascinating. I will read more and also reassure my friend that I'm not mad seeing colours!
