The problem with your ingenious idea is, what will we replace the old people with, the government as already decided that the young are so incapable that the pensioners have got to work longer, could you imagine someone like you having to make an educated decision, or a moral judgement call, heaven forbid, an old person is nothing more than a teenager with a brain, wisdom and manner.

for starters lets stop with all the life support for people who are hooked up to every machine under the sun. And those that are riddled with a dread disease.
Here is how it should work...the medical community would figure out how much it would cost
(read waste) in dollars to keep these people clinging to a meaningless existence and the person or relatives of the person get a 25% tax free payment. And the old ailing person is put down.
Much like old ailing animals are put down. Just think how much money would be saved each year and all the good that money could do if spent on worthy causes.
And before you go ballistic here you should know that I am 100% serious here.
Bring on the death panels. And when it is my time to go I will go willingly.
