The place is on St-Marc, just south of Ste-Catherine on the west side of the street in a high-rise apartment building. They're located on the penthouse.
Mostly Asian massage place. It's new. They advertise heavily on Craigslist.
I saw a girl there, she was Chinese, early to mid 30s. Maritza I think her name was. Sort of a typical Asian body: 5'4 ish, 105lbs, small B cup.
The massage takes place on a mattress in the center of a large room. Really, this place is meant to be a penthouse in an apartment building--it's a cold set-up and wasted space for a massage parlour. She told me there are 3-4 large rooms like this (presumably 3 big bedrooms and a living room).
Now, on to the actual experience:
I was in the area, had noticed their ad on craigslist for a 'special' for that day -- it was something like $35 for the hour. Crazy, I thought, but I felt like trying out a massage place in the area since I've never had a massage around that neighbourhood. Called, confirmed the price, made an appointment, then off I went.
Called again from downstairs, confirmed my appointment and the price again (since I thought it was cheap!).
When I arrived, someone else was leaving after having had some disagreement with them. He hadn't even taken a massage. So that was a little awkward.
I walk in, host tells me it's $50. Wait, wait... what happened to the $30-$35 price? She explains that was for a massage with the client sitting in a chair. She shows me the chair then briskly brings me over to a bedroom, showing the mattress. 'Wouldn't you rather this?' she asks, and says it's $50. Wow, I wasn't a fan of this. But I decided to roll with it, since $50 is standard. I just don't like the lying from the get-go over the phone. (I should note that when I'm jerked around like this, I rarely go with it--don't want to passively reward liars--this was an aberration for me)
So I head into the bedroom, take a shower in the bathroom attached. I check the time I arrived, since I had a sense this place might jerk me around again. After the shower, I get ready on the mattress. Takes 15 minutes for the masseuse to arrive! I even got up and went into the hallway with my towel to figure out what was taking so long--a first for me.
She comes in, fiddles with the heating, fiddles with the stereo ... never a fan of this.
Then she starts a reasonable massage. Nothing special, a little more aggressive sexually than I'd like (I like a good 15 minutes of 'just massage' with some sensuality before starting with direct teasing) ... but the teasing wasn't even sensual; it seemed aimed to get me to take options more than for my pleasure. The menu came out 25 minutes into the massage, with $40 being the cheapest for the happy ending, and the thai being $100. I told her I didn't have $100, and $40 is not the standard price. She argued, saying $40 is the standard price for good-looking girls ... $20 is for dogs, essentially. I said this was not true, but I didn't want to argue. So I didn't respond, and just lay back to enjoy the massage.
She persisted, asking me every minute to minute and a half what I had decided ... I told her politely that I was thinking about it, but that there was a fair bit of time left so I'd decide later.
About 5 minutes later, I tell her that $20 is what I would pay for the minimum. And that I take no pleasure in anything in between the happy ending and a thai massage--that's all wasted cash, in my books. So she said she'll make a special deal with me: $70 for Thai. I had $50, but she said that's okay--just leave my cellphone and go to a bank downstairs after the massage. I agree.
She starts the Thai massage. It's okay. Nothing special. I told her to cool it with the stroking since she seemed to be rushing me to the finish. I asked how much time was left. She said 10 minutes. This seemed strange to me, so I checked the time--35 minutes after she came in. So she was including my wait-time as being part of my 'massage experience'. Lovely. Anyway, she persisted in rushing the service, I came early, the Thai massage lasted very little time, I paid $50, and told her that's all that she was getting. She became frantic, calling me every name in the book, threatening me, not allowing me to leave, etc etc.
I'll admit, not my finest hour: I agreed to $70, I should have lived up to that. My only excuse is that it was a hellish experience in every which way, and her bullying with the menu, and with the parlour as a whole lying at the beginning, I saw no need to reward such behaviour.
By the way, she told me she had worked on Decarie around Queen Mary in the past, and that management there changed, so it went downhill, then that same management is running this place. So it seemed like recycled, 30-year old Asians ... not that there's anything wrong with that.
