You can get vaccinated for Hep B & C with three shots called twinrix. Each one 90 days apart, been there done that. As for the HIV it is for real but, the number of men that have actually contracted the disease from mongering is a big ???? There are a few rumors but many mongers have been banging bareback for a long time and we don't see an influx of them dropping off of the earth. Again who knows? Ah, excuse me. HIV/AIDS is not the only deadly STD out there. Hep B can be just as deadly as HIV/AIDS and is transmitted sexually. (Hep C is also potentially life-threatening but I think the medical folks haven't definitively determined if it is transmitted sexually.) There is a vaccine against Hep B. My lay understanding is that Hep B is actually easier to get than HIV/AIDS.

I agree with someone elses observation than Herpes and other STDs are more common, but Aids is the most dangerous of all as we know.

Then again how do we know any facts against the disease? The media feeds us so much bullshit how do you know what is true? I would say herpes, and the other STD's are a much greater risk than catching HIV. We have no proof other than a few opinions that have been expressed. How do they anythign witrhout placing 1000 HIV positive peopel in a room and logging each time they fuck. In many of the countries in Africa where they give you an HIV infection rate nobody has a clue as to how many people even exist in the country. As with many issues, it is possible to find “experts” supporting both positions. The Mayo Clinic provides the following information regarding the pros and cons of circumcision:

Circumcision may have health benefits, including:
--Easier hygiene.
--Decreased risk of urinary tract infections.
--Prevention of penile problems.
--Decreased risk of penile cancer.
--Decreased risk of sexually transmitted diseases.

Circumcision also has drawbacks, including:
--Surgical risks.
--Pain.
--Permanence.
--Expense.

It seems to me there are valid medical opinions supporting both viewpoints. I think this is a decion best left to the individual. Hopefully it will be an informed decision.

Here read one of the reports I cited there are many others. Brazil is one country who turned down the requests of mass circumcision as they believe the study lacks merit, and could divert much needed funds away from medical treatments that actually work to fight AIDS/HIV.....I'm not the only one who is questioning the study. At best mass circumcision is a misguided policy by some freak doctors who believe all males should be cut, and at worst it's a racist policy of veiled colonialism like the article points out. What better way to control the masses then cut some of their manhood off?

The article you quote opposes circumcision out “political correctness.” It does not contain information refuting the recent studies showing the lower HIV rate among circumcised males.

Those opposed to circumcision will continue to doubt these studies. Just as those opposed to vaccinations downplay the studies showing the efficacy of polio, smallpox, and other vaccinations.

Of course not, in fact studies like this are dangerous as people who are cut might engage in high risk sex behavior thinking they have a shield against HIV.

if a guy fucks a woman in the vagina WITHOUT a condom and the woman is HIV+ then the estimated risk of the guy getting HIV is 0.67-0.75% per sexual episode. this is fact based on large scale studies.

so the 0.67-0.75% lets call it 1% for arguments sake.
it doesn not mean that if you fuck 100 women who are HIV+ then you shall get HIV, it means everytime you fuck a HIV+ women the chances of transmission are 1%.

Not hard if you follow news regarding Tijuana and HIV/AIDS

In a 2004 study of 981 women in labor at the Tijuana General Hospital they were asked for consent to be tested for HIV. 947 women, 96.7% of those asked, agreed to be tested. Of the 947 tested 12 were HIV positive. They estimate over the entire year 48 women were HIV positive; hardly a large number of cases. (In both public health and statistics you need to look at the raw number as well as the perceneforum.xxxes. If one year you have one case of polio and the next year there are two cases of polio you have a 50% growth rate, but hardly a public health problem.)

Tijuana General serves “charity cases.” It’s where a puta from the ZN is most likely to have her baby if she stays in Tijuana.

Some things to note for those who read between the lines.
--It was not a random sample. Only those suspected of having HIV were included in the sample.
--The sample was taken from those who were in high-risk categories. All of those that were found to be HIV positive were drug users or had 5 or more sex partners. (Needle marks apparently were the major criteria for inclusion in the study.)
--The study was done by a group seeking money for HIV education and prevention who wanted as find as high a rate as possible.

The HIV/AIDS rate among the high risk groups in Tijuana is about the same as that for the population at large in New York City. A rate over 1% is defined by most HIV/AIDS workers as a crisis. By skewing the sample group they were able to reach a 1.2% infection rate—and qualify for funding. (The article Amigomio posted above gives the rate as 0.8% for TJ. The last I knew the rate for California at large was 0.6%.)

Another source for (biased) information is the San Diego Council on AIDS. (Their funding depends on AIDS being an emanate public danger.) The last time I read one of their reports, the AIDS rate in Tijuana was significantly lower than in San Diego. (They also do some work in TJ, so they have a vested interest in the rate being high in both cities.)

Even more in Tijuana (and Mexico at large) than in the US, HIV/AIDS is still primiarly confined to two groups:
--Needle users
--Gay men

For what it is worth, a 2006 study by The National Institutes of Health says circumcision cuts the risk of a man getting HIV by 60%. That's not something usually factored into the odds one has of getting HIV/AIDS through hetrosexual sexual interecourse. But it is obviously a significant factor.

That doesn't mean it's OK to go "sin condom" in TJ (even if you are circumscised). If you do you are taking a risk, but the risk isn't as high as some would have you believe.

The HIV transmission rate from woman to man is actually much, much lower than 50% but your point is well taken. It doesn't matter what STD we are talking about -- USE A CONDOM! It just doesn't make any sense to chance it.

How would anyone who visits this site have reliable stats, whether qualitative or quantitave, regarding the putas in TJ. Example....Lets just say a monger does a SG BB and infects her with HIV on June 1. She won't test (+) for a number of weeks(up to 6 weeks). During this 6 week time frame she gets tested, and fucks 50-60 dudes. She continues to test (-) while possibly infecting 50% of the guys who do her BB. No one knows shit. All of a sudden she tests (+). Boom, she looses her card and gets sent home. Meanwhile these guys that got infected continue to do girls BB. Theoretically 100s of girls and guys are now infected. Bad scene!!!!!!! Please, for the good of all mongers, use a rubber! Thanks
