Suzanne Enzers courses

Hi there
Does anyone know the price of Suzanne Enzers courses and how long are they for? Are they weekend workshops and you do lots of self study and case studies? I have emailed her today to find out dates and venues to see if they are in my local area. But alot of these courses are so expensive.
Very grateful if someone could give me a rough price on what they paid if they don't mind.

Suzanne Enzers courses £££££??????

The course i've just been on run by the Raworth College in Dorking was £164.50 for Saturday and Sunday Part 1. Part 2 is also £164.50. I would like to say that it's worth every penny. I don't know if different colleges charge different prices so i would wait for Suzanne's response to you - but this may give you an idea.

Suzanne Enzers courses £££££??????

There is a Suxanne Enzer course at my training school on 1st Dec 2007. (Sue Ricks School of Complementary Therapies). Part 1 is £215 and I think part 2 is the same. I have attatched the link for you to take a look at. The school is based in Leicester but peopleattend from all over the country. I am currently coming towards the end of my 12 month diploma in Gentle Touch tm Reflexology and have been on several courses with Sue.

Suzanne Enzers courses £££££??????

I am co-ordinating a Susanne Enzer course in Durham and have a few places left. Its Sept 1st and 2nd and costs £160. She has just put her prices up so new courses will be more on the lines of £210, so try and do the course this year or you'll get stung.

Thanks for that information.
Forgive me for not being good at Geography is Durham further up north? Is it Newcastle/Sunderland way I live in between Manchester and Liverpool and can get to M6 and M62 easily. Or would I be better catching the train. Can you please tell me a little more about the course.
Is it the one day?
What time would it start?
Would it be a weekend or mid week?
What time does the course end?
I have the Reflexology Diploma VTCT but am concerned about the hours that are required for A&P. I do not have the A&P qualification but did lots within the course. But could not tell you how many hours on A&P that were studied as it was a home study course.

Very interested in doin this course, although have not done seperate A&P, Have VCTC in Massage, IHM and Reflexology,
hopefully that might qualify 50hrs,.. felt like hundreds!
Am very nervous of treating pregnant ladies

Hi Guys,
Durham is in the North East between Darlington and Newcastle. Trains run all the time. the postcode for Durham is DH1.

Just popped into other room to get co-ordinators pack.............

Course is 2 days long, Sat and Sun Sept 1st and 2nd.
Think its 10-4pm.
Please note: its part 1 of 2 so the second part will need to be taken about 6 months later.

Pre: requisite is a reflexology qualification minimum 40 hours
Cert of reflexology, Diploma of reflexology or equivalent reflexology experience.
A&P.
Part one: covers the basics and the time from preconception until the end of pregnancy.
Part two: covers the incoming soul and pregnant feet, birthing and postnatal period.

Case studies: 4
2 of these must be on pregnant clients, and the other 2 maternity reflexology related.
each case study is to be a min of 5 treatments.
the length of time of the reflexology session is to be determined by the practioner.
6 modules with an assignment attached to each module.

I haven;t booked a venue as of yet, but obviously am looking for a venue that is close to train station and for people travelling on the A1 from the South.

I have 2 ladies travelling from York and one for Sheffield.

These places seem to go like hot cakes as some of the people booked on have tried twice before to get onto courses.

If I can answer any further questions, please ask away.

I'm going to check on the prices for the Travelodge nearby. I have to arrange a B&B for Susanne Enzer so will get a few prices.

Most helpful. I just need to decide now whether to go with Denise Tirans course (caring for pregnant clients £250 online course or I can go into Manchester for 2 days and do it there) lots of work involved but there are all sorts of things you learn within the course, dealing with morning sickness and aromatherapy, etc. it is more pregnant client based rather than maternity reflexology based. It is pregnant clients in general and their well-being and the legal/ethical stance on things. Or do the Suzanne Enzers course which is dearer (when you add the 2 courses together) and travelling to Durham and finding a hotel/travelodge - which will cost probably in excess of 160 x 2 + hotel + travel .............£400 +. Unless there is a course nearer to me. But if I do share with Orchid we can go in one car or catch the train. i wonder if the train station is nearer. Lots of research to do I think!

Suzanne Enzers courses £££££??????

I have just had a look on google for the Travelodge in Durham DH1 and it is £55.00 for a non smoking double room per night - assuming staying over on the night of the 1st September (Sat). Not sure if brekkie is included probably at that price. B&B rates.

Orchid if we travelled together we would travel along the M62 leaving at junction 29 and onto the M1 then A1/M and it would take us about 2 hours 25 minutes (146 miles) according to theAA route map on the internet.

But this course may be better than the Denise Tiran as it is specifically for Reflexology and not in as much detail.

Daisychain do you know how long the course is for? Is there a time set for us to do it in. I believe there is a demonstration/task isn't there to do for the assessment? Do you know what is involved in this please? What a scary thought. Mind you having done a demo in front of 11 firemen the other night in reflex it may just be bearable!

Suzanne Enzers courses £££££??????

Hiya Tracey,
you have to do an assignment per module and the 4 x 5 case studies. It is suggested that you complete all of this and hand it in on the second part. As part of the second part you all have to do a 15 minute presentation, but not in part 1.
You have a year to complete the work.

With the travellodges you can get a twin room for £55 so share the costs. I'm sure I can get a B&B for you at approx £30 per night. Just been onto premier Inns who do meeting rooms as well as acomodation.

Am taking into consideration that some people may travel by train, and that the course venue needs to be central to either that or the motorway.

I'm going to contact Bannatynes Hotel as they have just opened and the sports centre in the same vicinity is a possible venue too.

Suzanne Enzers courses £££££??????

I emailed Suzanne Enzer and she did not even have the courtesy to reply with text!! She replied 2 days later and just sent 2 attachments - one being the diary for 2007/2008 and another with course information on it! There was not even a 'thanks for contacting me regarding course information' nothing !
That was a little rude I thought!
The Denise Tiran course is in more detail - she sent me a huge long email covering costs - stating I can pay in instalments and she is prepared to give me discount if I book 2 courses together saving over £100. I can do the course online if I choose or in Manchester near me. So I have a huge decision to make. The difference being that the Suzanne Enzer course is maternity reflexology based and the Denise Tiran course (caring for pregnant clients) is everything maternity related and then you do the reflexology on top (which is the 2nd course). So I am now not really sure what to do.
I am contacting colleges now though to see what my options are for midwifery courses. But an access course is probably the best route as I would be entering as a mature student. A friend of mine went to do a midwifery course and recently qualified but it took her 18 months to get accepted - so I think I may need alot of patience.

You have been so busy getting info on the courses, I had a look at Denise Tiran website and the 2day course at manchester didnt seem to have any home work with it, and you would be FHT accredited yet the home course had oodles, perhaps I misread it.
Have ordered S Enzers book, and cant wait to do a course, just which one to choose...

Thank you so much for all the info and organising hotels and everything, I am serious about courses on this subject, I would dearly love to help people with fertility problems, and help relieve the pressures onmums to be.
I just have a few hurdles to get over myself as I have severe arhtritus in my knees and hips, and now its starting in my fingers, which is frightening, but I am deteremed to overcome and keepexercising them so I can continue to give Reflexology and Reiki, I have to be very careful with my pennies as unable to do my full time job now, so it is vital that I choose the right course which is looking like Suzzane Enzers course. Will let you know as soon as I have decided.[sm=nature-smiley-008.gif]

Hi Daisychain & Orchid

After much deliberation and long discussions into the night I have decided to go with an Access to Nursing instead and go down the Midwifery route. This has been a long awaited career that I have wanted to go with and there has always been something preventing me, finances, people, circumstances etc so now I am finally going to just go for it. 34 and a mature student. So I am doing the Access course to Nusing and it will hopefully help me get into Liverpool John Moores University next September. I am able to apply this Sept for next Sept intake - and at only accepting 18 candidates I am up against stiff competition, so wish me luck! It is a huge challenge for me with 2 children and no help with childcare from family but I am sure if I put my mind to it and I apply myself in the correct way and manage my time I can achieve my longtime goals.
Thanks for your patience with waiting for my answer this I feel is the right career move for me. Thanks so much for your advice and support and research into the information needed for the courses. I do hope you find what you are looking for too. I do certainly feel I am now finding who I am and eventually finding out a little bit more about ME! Strange at 34 to say that but how true!
