Taking Picture ... camera friendly ?

I plan to buy my first Digital Camera (DC) for my Patong trip, just wonder is
the girl camera friendly ?

Is there some rules for taking picture in some place like Agogo or Bar.
I don't want to offend anybody.

I plan to buy the Minolta Brand DC very slim and easy to carry.
Any other good digital camera you recommend ?

Beer bars & on the streets , no problem at all , inside a gogo bar - usually not allowed , you MUST ask permisson 1st , especially in areas like Patpong/Bangkok , you could be asking for some serious trouble if you try it without their consent no:

Last week I buy Nicon Coolpix 4200. Very nice DC , and slim to. You have to ask the lady if you can use the camera :ytounge: Sometime no problem. Next time, no no no:

It depends if you want nude pics or not , if nude then yes you will have to discuss it with her and assure her you dont intend to post them on the net as most girls quite rightly would not want this , as for normal clothed pics , on the beach shots ...should not be a problem

Be careful when taking pictures of the Ladyboys near Soi Eric. I took a couple and was asked for money from them. When i didn't pay they became quite agressive, saying that they would take me to the ATM. Got a bit hairy, and the policeman standing there completely ignored my plea for him to get involved. One followed me halfway back up soi eric to the bar i was at, but then gave up. It was only when i was telling my more experienced mates how these ladyboys had tried to rip me off that i learned that it was the done thing to pay them 50-100 baht to photograph them in their finery! :embrassed

Do not take pictures inside any GoGo, you are asking for big trouble. We generally allow pictures inside if you ask first, and we set it up for you.

I dont use camera software, I use a card reader instead. And Photoshop for editing.

I have Canon Ixus 400 as compact camera and Nikon D70 for SLR camera. I like them both.

I like the Sony Cybershot - it is smaller than a cigarette packet, but has large LCD display - to let the girls view the piccies you just took.

Minolta Dimage XT - Nice and compact, takes a good amount of pictures on one battery.

I highly recommend this camera.

I have the Minolta Dimage G500 which is the 5.0 Megapixel camera, but I think XT and X20 are very good cameras. I would go with the XT over the X20, though, since there is not that much difference in price. I seriously considered the XT when I bought mine. The XT has the advaneforum.xxxe of being slimmer(not as thick) and lighter. The G500 is a little more versatile and the enlarged playback feature is a lot of fun. That means you can bring up any one of your pics that you took on the screen, then zoom in on the person's face or on something in the landscape. It is fun when you are showing pics to the BGs. Also it has more storage capacity.
Basically, XT and X20 are shirtpocket size, and G500 is pantspocket size.The difference in length and width is almost negligible. Since I bought mine 4 months ago, Minolta has come out with the G600, a 6.0 megapixel camera, basically the same as the G500, but with the advaneforum.xxxe of another 1.0 megapixels. That has really bought the price down on the G500 and it is a lot cheaper than when I bought it. A very good buy.
I also have a Minolta SLR and have been happy with it!

I bought myself a Canon Ixus 500 at Singapore Airport on my way home.Great camera and easy to use software.
I used to use a Fuji Finepix 4800Z. Excellent camera but not such a handy size for carrying around.
I also have an Olympus OM10 SLR which doesnt get used now.But it still takes the best pictures.
