Thank you for the info. And, I will check the other forum. I have much experience in teaching and in Europe, but I have never been to Asia, just fascinated with the history, culture and (of course) the most beautiful women in the world.

KTV= Karaoke TV, basically a karaoke place. In chinese, there will be some chinese characters and then the laters "OK", so it's fairly easy to recognize. There is legitimate places where you really just rent a room and sing (which i have never been to in China) and places where the mama san will bring in group after group of girls (place I went to had about 30) until you find one that you want to sit and sing with you. Pretty damn costly, and I think only some girls are available for FS back at your hotel. I have heard of a place in Fuzhou that had a "sample room" inside the KTV where you could pretty much bang the girl, as oppose to taking her back to your hotel room to do it.

KTV is basically the "safe" way to go for P4P in China, as far as I know. Just the Karaoke alone though, you would be spending US prices (maybe $60-$100 a trip with drinks, room fee, mama san tip, girl tip). The girls would want another $50-80 US I believe. I'm sure it's all negotiable, but that's what I was charged in 2000.

Also, I think you can tell the P4P places by a red or purple light outside...something like that.

As for your English teaching in China, we touched upon that in the Korea forum. Those guys have a lot of experience. You may want to ask them.

I am very interested in moving to China to Teach English. Any advice, warnings, words of advice and suggestion for action.

Oh, I was also confused about the "BBS" (Brothels in Barber Shops). Now, I would like to know what KTV is?
