A friend emailed me this this morning and thought it may be useful as a heads up....

The tg I met you with last night was talking about TaiPan this morning. She was telling me about watching a girl taking money out of a couple of guy's pockets. She and her friend watched her do it. She would dance with them and start playing grabby and work her way into a pocket. She said she didn't see wallets touched but money from pockets.

She was afraid to go tell someone.

Don't know if this is worth a post or not.

happened to me in pattaya -she managed to undo the button on the back of my pants, but didn't get the cash in time.

in hollywood, as I was walking out of the toilets, a girl bumped into me and I felt a hand go in my pocket ...spun around and there was a young thai bloke standing against the wall by the toilets, looking all innocent. As it was only a bit of change and i wasn't sure if it was him, not willing to cause as scene. in fact if i was sure it was him, its probably still not worth causing a scene due to the security guys getting involved.

Talking about clothes getting stolen.....
The last couple of tours, I took to wearing those cheap, nasty, nylon boxer shorts for padding around the room on a lazy afternoon (air the boys out a bit, don'tcha know!!)
Next thing I know is that I can't find any. It turns out that the BGs found the clean ones in my luggage and pinched them.
Next tour I went over with twice as many and still had none left when I got back.
Maybe the Bgs found that a bit of airing was good for them too???

In all honesty, it shouldnt matter if it was in TaiPan or any other place.

One should keep their money safe on themselves at any time, club, walking into town, walking to a shop, unless of course youre a strange person who likes to get robbed.

Not a neg thread.

If the guys realise theyve been robbed when theyre back in their rooms, then I guess its a costly lesson to be learnt and Im sure theyll quickl change their ways pronto.

What happened to a friend of mine, he decided to pay for a bj, round the back of some shops in Patong, and with his trousers round his ankles, he had already paid said person and then pulled up his trousers and headed off. Then he realised his wallet was stolen while his trousers were on the floor round his ankles.

I have a habit I have got into, a sort of routine where no matter where I am I always check, wallet, keys & mobile. If they are not where they should be on my person, I then start to worry and panic.

But front pocket is a must for anything important, because its extremely hard to steal from the front pocket. The back pocket just isn't a good pocket. In fact I would go as far to say its a bad pocket and should be removed or sewn up altogether.

Perhaps one would be a lot more 'aloof' and protective of their selves when walking the street or the beach and being accosted there than they would in a place like Thaipan wherein there is a girl draping herself over you every few minutes.
Its been said before and I'll say it again, take only the cash you'll need for your night out and keep it in your front pocket near your sensitive parts , tho given the forwardness of some of the girls there, this area will be probed by some of them anyway.
Dont take wallets, credit cards, licenses, keys and other valuables...they belong in the room safe...

Having said that, ever remember waking the next afternoon and going, " Jeez, what happened to that 5k I had at 11 last night?"

My friend who introduced me to LOS is a cheeky bugger. He has all these ways to beat the system. He removes the key from the card so he can leave the aircon running while he is out. And if you leave the tv on it's good security.

Ever heard of pick pockets? No different to what these girls do. Some of these artists bump into you, say sorry, and theyre off your wallet or whatever is in your pocket, its a trick I tell you.

Girls just do it in a different way, dancing and groping you is their distraction technique as opposed to bumping into you.

I think Mr.Chop was just putting a word of warning out there to be a little careful. We all know about pick pockets, but It's nice to get a little reminder ever now and then about these things. Thailand is no different to the rest of the world, and the clubs are the same same through out the world. Had money stolen from in in Barcelona, but never Thailand... But had my Heart Stolen in LOS every night
