Thanks for your detailed posts/responses as always, now I get it about the joiner fee, I did pay that many moons ago when I took a twosome And yes about the reservation 1 pm time is the best if one can make it or has someone to do it for you, otherwise simply no luck. I tried phoning them once, between my broken spanish I couldnt get far or they pretened dumb. Keep posting more, stay away from TJA for a while

Joiner fees are the same as "extra chica" fees.
I'm surprised by this question bohemian, since joiner fees were covered back four posts ago when I wrote about the basics of Cascades (post #7 of this thread):



Joiner fees suck. Not only do you get just about no additional service for this "service" fee, but it also tips off the puta that you are a puto.

As I previously suggested, it is best to try to physically rent a room there as soon after 1PM as possible, since Cascades often sells out. If you can't be there at close to 1PM you might try calling Cascades at around 1PM and try making a reservation - be sure to tell them when you will arrive that day.

Even better would be to have a buddy of yours, who is in LZ at around 1PM, rent a room under your name. Cascades will only rent a room to a monger for three consecutive nights, so you might want to try beginning your rental period on Wednesday or Thursday, and then simply renew your room in the morning going into the weekend.

In the summer and fall a lot of the chicas are housed in Cascades rooms, thus making even less rooms available for rent overnight to mongers.

I would call the Cascadas hotel as the hide and seek hotel, couple of times a girl promised me from HK/Miami to join after work, I waited out, only to discover she disappeared from one of those inside/outside outlets which it has on both sides !
good to know about the 3 am alternative.
I agree it has good hot water and a reasonably good hotel, compared to La Tropa whose hot water takes so long to come, the chica and your dick get cold waiting for it.
But its difficult to get rooms in Cascada on Fri/sat, simply not available, any tips appreciated.

There's a lot to talk about in regards to Cascades, La Zona's largest hotel. That's why I'm breaking it up over multiple posts.

One of the other posters here said that he had lots of secret ways he avoids the dreaded Cascades joiner fee. Well I do as well, and I won't keep ANY of them secret from this forum's readers. But you will have to wait, since they'll be covered in my next post on Cascades. Think of that as being in the "advanced" information on Cascades, while this post covers the boring intermediate stuff.

Mostly I'm going to detail the layout of Cascades, which you need to know for the advanced stuff.

Cascades has six floors, all above ground level, plus a large street level "lobby" open to the alley. The hotel mostly sits above Miami Bar and Las Chevalas Bar. You can enter Cascades from two entrances. It has a small north entrance, which is on Coahuila Avenue, in between the entrances to Las Chevales Bar and Adelitas bar. You climb one U-shaped flight of stairs to get to the first floor desk. Usually there's only one clerk there, but it's a full functioning hotel desk where you can rent your overnight room or take a short-term room.

But the bigger main entrance and hotel desk at Cascades is on the south. You find it ahead and to your right as you reach the top of the wide straight stairway leading up from the roomy, open entrance off the alley.
Much of this (upstairs) first floor lobby has two-story high ceilings with many skylights. Generally there's two or three guys working this larger south hotel desk.

As you stand at the top of the stairs, straight forward is the elevator that goes from floors 1 to 6. To your left is a women's clothing boutique, and beyond the boutique are two small hallways that lead to most of Cascades' southern short-term rooms, probably more than 20 of them are in those two hallways. To the right and behind you is a small sitting area and more short-term rooms, maybe about a dozen there since some are off a hallway that runs behind the large hotel desk.

Most of the overnight rooms assigned to mongers are on floors 3, 4, 5 & 6. Chicas that live or stay temporarily at Cascades are also assigned rooms on those floors. A stairway curls around the elevator. There's one by the north desk area. There are a few more stairways that run between various floors of the hotel. The lowest floor in which you can walk a central hallway to go between the north stairwell and the south elevator and stairwells is the third floor. Most of the rooms on each floor (including the jacuzzi rooms numbered 329, 429, 529, and 629) are located off of the long western hallway, that runs the full length of the building from north to south.

Every room that I've been in had adequate hot water, the sink sit inside of the room, the toilet and shower in a closed-off bathroom. Every room I've been in had a working telephone. One time a walker I knew (Josephina) got the desk guys to ring my room and grant her permission to come up. Most, if not all rooms have a cylindrical food serving unit on the hallway wall, so you can get food or drinks delivered to your room without opening the door to your room.

If you are ever stuck in LZ well past midnight without a hotel room, and no hotels have vacancies, you can almost always sleep off a good drunk at Cascades because starting at about 3AM, they begin renting out the S/T rooms for 8-hour accomodations.

Generally the clerks will not check you into an overnight room at Cascades before 1PM, and check-out is at 1PM the next day.

Their phone number is 011 52 664 688 2030, but taking reservations is not a strong suit of theirs. It's best to just be present and willing to rent an overnight room as close to 1:01 PM as possible in order to get one. Cascades often sells out during peak season and on weekends.

While headed west on the alley's north sidewalk, after you pass the La Valentina Bar and La Valentina Hotel, you will quickly pass by a small eatery and the very large downstairs alley lobby to the Cascades Hotel. Cascades is the largest hotel in La Zona, and perhaps the most complicated. Because of this I will attempt to provide my best information about this hotel spread over more than one post. This post will cover the basics.

Staying overnight at Cascades allows a TJ monger the best opportunity to bring the greatest selection of TJ putas to his own hotel room. Not only does Cascades typically have a large line-up of street girls found in its lobby and directly west of its lobby, but Cascades also is the official hotel providing short-term rooms for three medium sized bars (Hong Kong, Miami Bar and Las Chevalas). Cascades has such a good reputation of being cleaner than its immediate neighbors in all directions, that it typically is not a hassel to also get chicas to come there from other locations.

Street girls that stand directly across the alley in front of the Eduardo hotel routinely agree to sessions in Cascades' S/T and overnight rooms. The same could be said of SGs from the southside of the alley at the Najera and Cuartos Teresa. Cuartos Venica street girls will also generally go to Cascades, even some street girls from the SG hotels on Constitution and Nino Heroes. Typically the only resistence to go into Cascades comes from La Valentina street girls, Mini Hotel street girls and Adelitas Bar putas due to long simmering rivalries among the owners of those other establishments. Most bar girls in Tropical Bar will also eagerly agree to go to Cascades because it is right across Coahuila Ave. and owned by the same family group.

In late fall (about 5 months ago) Cascades was charging $31 for a single room and $40 for a double (324 pesos/424 pesos). When you rent a single room at Cascades, you are allowed to bring up one chica, one time in a 24-hour stay, with no additional joiner fee. When you rent a double room, which you can do by yourself, or with another male monger, the hotel guest(s) are allowed to bring up two chicas in that 24-hour period free from additional fees. If your virility allows you to session more than that number of chicas in a 24-hour period , or you wish to take up numerous chicas at the same time for threesomes, foursomes or whatever ...You must pay a joiner fee of $5.50 for each additional street girl (58p) or $12 for each additional bar girl (130p). Recently someone reported that the SG fee may have risen to $5.80.

This exact same fee schedule and joiner fee requirement exists at the Rizo de Oro Hotel (above Tropical Bar). Both the Rizo de Oro and Cascades have large jacuzzi rooms. I think they currently rent for $71 a night. The jacuzzis are enormous and these rooms are twice the size of regular hotel rooms in Cascades, with one very large king-size bed. The allowable number of chicas you are allowed to bring up to the jacuzzi rooms without a joiner fee seems to vary from monger to monger, (from one to unlimited) so YMMV is the general rule with the small number of jacuzzi rooms.

After you pass the El Porton and continue walking west you will find the next SG hotel on just the other side of Bar El Corral (Monaco Bar) called the Mini Hotel. This one too has no sign to designate it. You access it by walking down a very long narrow open air hallway between the EC bar and a medium sized grocery store with large windows. At the end of this walkway you go down three or so steps to an office.

S/T rooms are $5 or 50 pesos for 15 minutes at the Mini. I'm told they also rent the same rooms overnight for 200p, but I've never stayed there overnight. This place is reasonably maintained and one of the cleaner SG hotels. Every room I've been in was fairly small, had a double bed, dresser, and a full bath with hot and cold water.

In one of my earliest SG sessions, conducted here, I had the chica use a shitload of astroglide for the finishing HJ, and was a greasy mess at the end. So I jumped in the shower for a quick rinse-off. As I was dressing the SG told me the hotel charges $5 extra if the showers were used and she asked me for it. Another monger, who might be an easy touch for money-hungry SGs, told me later that this $5 was no bullshit (as I had thought) and was indeed the mIni's policy. But I had my doubts back then, and still do today. Over the last year I've jumped in the shower for quick rinse-downs after numerous 200p "basic service" session with spinner girl Marisol and Andianna make-up, and neither of these two chicas hit me up for any $5 showering fee. And NEITHER of these two chicas is shy about asking for more money.

After leaving the Mini Hotel and continuing west you will reach the La Valentina Hotel as you get close to mid-block on the alley's northside. It's entry is just a few steps west of the entrance to the La Valentina Bar. You ascend a U-shaped stairway to reach the desk of the hotel (just like the hotel above Adelitas). The look style, and feeling should be the same as Adelitas' Coahuila Hotel because this is really just the south end of the same hotel structure.

An employee-only hallway connects the Coahuila Hotel to the La Valentina, but no customers may use it. I also found out to my dismay that even the chicas don't use it, at least for me. When I was staying at the Coahuila Hotel overnight I tried bribing the Valentina's desk clerk a nice sum to allow one of the La Valentina's SGs (Jasmine Twiggy) to come to my room in the Coahuila - but he turned me down.

As far as I know the La Valentina Hotel only rents out S/T rooms. $5.50 or 55 pesos for 15 minutes. Their rooms are also pretty nice for a SG hotel. Tile floor, double bed, I think most rooms I've been in had ceiling fans. Clean bathrooms with white pedestal sinks, showers in all rooms I visited. Hot and cold water pressure was very good. I went up in the winter several times with a duffle bag that had a small space heater. The rooms had no electrical outlets, so I had to use a lightbulb socket adapter to run the heater.

Neither the Mini, nor the La Valentina have reputations for for quick knocks (a knock at your door before the contracted 15 or 30 minutes have expired) nor do they have reputations for being particularly late with their knocks.

The El Porton, Mini, La Valentina, and Cascades are the best SG hotels. My next post will complete the northside with details of Cascades and Cuartos Venicia. There's a lot of info. to provide on Cascades.

Sorry to disappoint you bohemian, but my plan of attack for this for this thread is to describe, in detail, the various street girl hotels in the order that I ran through them in the opening post. HDS and Rizo de Oro (above Tropical Bar) are not even street girl hotels (although both are SG friendly). I may get to descriptions of HDS and R-de-O after I've written up all the SG hotels and the ones I mentioned on northern Constitution.

BTW: I've met the nephew of El Porton's owner. The owner/operator is supposedly an active LAPD officer. I'm told that this family owns only a portion of this zona block (including at least the two adjacent businesses - Bar El Corral to the west and El Choncho Taco restaurant to the east - but definitely NOT Adelitas). Supposedly this land was the former homesite of the grandmother, and the land ownership is being retained - for now - within the family.

The last time I stayed at the El Porton was March or April 2006, right after rumors came out that they were beginning to charge joiner fees. Although they had started this joiner fee crap with some of mi amigos, out of goodwill it was not brought up to me during my last stay there. Most of my monger friends and I now stay mostly at the Leyva, so I don't know the most current stuff on this hotel. When I session with my favoritas from EP, we usually stroll over to the Leyva these days.

The first SG hotel that I listed in the initial post to this thread was the El Porton. It opened in the fall of 2005, thus making it the newest and most modern SG hotel. Despite extremely small rooms, I consider it to be the nicest of the SG hotels. Now prepare to read more than you ever cared to know about the El Porton, including things you would never bother to ask:

EL Porton:

To enter, you walk down a very long, tastefully decorated hallway to the hotel desk. On a greaseboard you will see the posted room rates:

15 minutes $6 or 60p
20 minutes $8 or 80p
25 minutes $10 or 100p
30 minutes $12 or 120p
60 minutes $20 or 200p
120 minutes $25 or 250p
overnight for $35 or 350p but they claim to not rent the overnight rooms on the weekends.

This is a very small hotel; four S/T rooms on the first floor and five overnight rooms upstairs for only nine total rooms.

Great features of this hotel:
Very quite, especially rooms 5, 6 & 7 upstairs that get very little bar noise from Bar El Corral next door.
They have the typical mattress on a raised wooden platform, but they use a premium mattress with a built-in additional foam pad that is very comfortable for sleeping.
Exceptionally clean and well decorated, best SG hotel for that.
Four of the five upstairs rooms (#5, 6, 7 & 8, but not smaller #9) have a decorative table equipped with one small drawer and attractive vaulted ceilings.
Nice headboard mirrors in rooms 5 & 6.
Very nice, clean and roomy walk-in showers, largest ones I have seem in La Zona, roomy enough for gordo me and non-flaca Sandy of Cascades to shower in together in good comfort.
Responsive happy staff
When you rent the room S/T for 15 minutes, you can request the 5-minute, $2 rental term extension from behind the closed door and settle-up when you emerge from the room after its use.
Working electrical outlets, but most in odd places, like hidden behind the mattress or 10 feet above the floor.
If you arrive in the morning, they will rent the overnight room to you right away if one is ready and available, thus you can get a 27 or 28 hour rental period since the 1PM check-out time is not altered.
Marginally effective hallway provided heating in the winter, a/c in the summer
Drawbacks of this hotel:
No hot water delivered to sink, only in shower
Takes a long time for hot water to arrive in the shower
Rooms are very very small, with no closets or storage area other than under the table.
They began assessing joiner fees for more than two chicas in spring 2006.
With only 5 upstairs overnight rooms, expect many sell-outs.
Some rooms have large televisions with built-in DVD players. But since there is no reception, they often just seem to be taking up most of the limited available tabletop space.

Let me start out this thread with a virtual walking tour of where most street girl hotels are located. If you were to exit Adelitas Bar, the street you would be facing is called "Coahuila". If you turned right and walked in an easterly direction to the first corner, you would be at the intersection of Coahuila & Constitution Ave. Many mongers I know refer to this particular intersection as "The Crossroads" because of the variety of female sex workers passing through its crosswalks (Bar girls, street girls and walkers).

Between the entrance of AB and the crossroads, you will pass a large stairway leading up to the Hotel Garcia. As best I know this is not a "Street Girl Hotel" in that street girls generally don't take their clients up into the Hotel Garcia. I've been told that many padrotes rent rooms in this hotel, possibly because it has a large exterior 2nd floor balcony that they can stand on, and keep a watchful eye on their street girl possessions.

If you took a right at the crossroads you would be headed south on Constitution in an area referred to as the "Odessa/Playboy" wall area. The Hotel Garcia's hotel balcony looms down on most of this short block where a dense collection of SGs stand. But there are no SG hotels on this short section of sidewalk on the west side of Constitution. These street girls all use hotels across the street on Constitution Ave., which I will get to later when this 'virtual tours' walks that side of Constitution.

After the (Odessa wall) short block you will find yourself at the east end of the alley. The bar on that corner is called the Hacienda Bar. One more right turn at the alley's entrance, at the Hacienda Bar, and we will be walking in a westerly direction on the north sidewalk of the alley. This is generally the "high rent district" as it tends to be home for the better looking street girls and the better SG hotels. From east to west on the north sidewalk you will pass by five SG hotels. First is the El Porton. This is the smallest & newest SG hotel. It has no sign identifying it. It just has a simple, white painted doorframe with the address numbers "8088_2" appearing above the doorframe in decorative spanish tile. This covered entryway, and the hotel, are squeezed in between El Corral Bar-Monaco Bar to the west, and the formerly outdoor restaurant, Tacos Cochino to its immediate east.

On the other side of the El Corral/Monaco Bar is the long, open air entryway leading back to the Mini Hotel. I personally find the SGs standing in front of the Mini at night to be, as a goup, the most attractive collection of Street Girls available in most evenings. As we reach the middle of the alley, two more SG hotel entrances are fairly close together. The first one is the La Valentina Hotel, located next to the La Valentina Bar. A U-shaped stairway leads up to its hotel desk. The La Valentina hotel is actually attached to, and part of, the larger Cohuila Hotel that sits above (and is used by) Adelitas Bar. Although there is an employee hallway that connects these two hotels to each other, no hotel guests may use it to go between the Coahuila Hotel & La Valentina Hotel.

Only a few steps west of the La Valentina is the large alley-level lobby to Cascades (The sign says "Cascades 2000"). This is by far the largest (and probably nicest) street girl hotel as it provides rooms for not just the SGs that stand in it's lobby, and to the west of the lobby, but also three small to medium sized bars underneath it (Miami, Hong Kong and Las Chavelas).

This is the end of the nicer SG hotels, but not the end of the alley's north sidewalk. As we continue west we find one more SG hotel, called the "Cuartos Venicia". This crappy hotel is of a single story motel design with a large cental open air entry corridor. The CV is wedged in between the tortilla factory and a small market attached to the Rio Rosas bar. The Rio Rosas sits on the corner of the alley and Nino Heroes Ave.

If we walk across the street from the CV, we will be on the south side of the alley. There are several apartment buildings (rarely used by just a very few SGs) and three medium-sized SG hotels on the south sidewalk. Now moving west to east, we first come across the lime-green colored single-story Cuartos Teresa. In the middle of the alley (right across the street from Cascades' lobby) is the two story aquamarine-colored Eduardo Hotel. You then have to go all the way east to the corner of Constitution to find the third (south alley) SG hotel, the three-story Najera Hotel.

If you took yet another right, and headed down Constitution in a southerly direction on it's west sidewalk, you will find what is probably the three crappiest SG hotels: the Diamonte #1, the Rio Nilo, and finally the Diamonte #2 located above the corner of Constitution and Articulo 123 (adjacent to the Taurino Bar, which is one of TJ's better known gay bars).

There is only one SG hotel in the southern part of Constituton on the east side of the street - the infamous Irma hotel. All other hotels on the east side of Constitution are crammed in fairly close together, and all are north of the policia substation and the alley.

As you walk north, past the policia on the east sidewalk, you will pass, in order, The La Ribera, The Michoacan #1, The Hacienda Hotel and the Michoacan #2, which represents the last truely "SG type" hotel I will describe in later posts to this thread. If you crossed Coahuila Blvd. and continued north (on Constitution's east sidewalk) you would also pass the Los Monitos (a motel used mostly by street walkers) the Jalos Hotel (Chicago Club's hotel) and the Leyva, home to many lowlifes, like myself, on most of my trips to TJ.

There are also a few SG hotels on Articulo 123 and Nino Heros, but I won't be giving much, if any, details on these hotels. At night I would recommend that mongers stay off of Articulo 123 and Nino Heroes. I believe the alley and Constitution are much safer streets to monger for street girls, ESPECIALLY at night.

Later this week, or next, I will give specific details on each of the SG hotels that I mentioned, as I write more posts to this thread.
