Tiger Disco

I went to Phuket in September last year and the Tiger Disco was closed. Does anybody know if it has reopened?
It was a great place to finish off your day.

I personally don't like Tiger Disco very much as the ratio of farangs to LBFM is too closely matched if not in the negative...

When on holidays I don't like to stress too much about where the next TG is coming from - I like to leave stress like that for when I have to go to work

Tiger Entertainment below on the other hand is choice...

(Especially the Love and Katoys R Us Bars)

Tiger disco was open when I was there in April. I didn't really notice much difference from before, except the music was worse. Often they play this music with no words but tremendous booming bass and drums repeat same rhythym over and over and over. If you repeat "There's a hooker in the box" over and over 100 times fast, louder each time, then that's what the rhythym sounds like to me and with deafening bass.
As for girls, when I go I like to get one(or more) in a bar and then take her there. The last time I was there with then current GF, we went out on the dance floor and she just stood there. Seems she doesn't know how to dance. Can you imagine that, a BG who can't dance? I sure do pick some "winners" sometimes.
I agree with Bafana that the ratio of FLs to guys is often not so good, especially at Christmas season when the town is flooded with guys. In the bars, you know that the girls are BGs and most are available. In Tiger, you never really know exactly who's who and what's what w/ the girls. The FLs are usually a little more experienced and sophisticated than the BGs and to me that is a negative. They know all the games to play, and are good at them. I like to keep it simple and know what the score is when I play the game. OF course this is not the case with all of them, but it is still more confusing to me at Tiger than in a bar. And because the music is constant and deafening, it makes it hard to have a conversation and therfore even harder to figure out the score. :thumbsdow
On the other hand, in years past, on the right night w/ the right BGs, I have had some of the best times ever there.

i am here at the moment and can confirm tiger is open and very busy.first day of decent weather today been raining non stop last 3-4 days.had a quiet 1 last bite,finally caught up with me,but now i ready for action,about to hit the bech then have a heavy session tonite before heading to pattaya on thursday nex week.

Horses for courses boys, Tiger is open and pumping if you're not into house or hard house you may like Taipan more of a hip hop gig.

There are plenty of FL's in Tiger but if you can't be bothered dancing or putting in some basic groundwork then stick to the beer bars it does get noisy and crowded but just the same as any dance club in farangland.

I know we are talking about Patong discos, but ive never se a better ratio of girls-guys than at angels disco in NANA hotel. It really must be 5-1, and alot them are stunners

JayBee summed up Tiger pretty well, and its remains most crowded disco the music by far the worst of the Patong Clubs, as its been a while since we've posted hope this helps:-

Tiger - JayBee pretty much summed it up - would add thet they have very strict door policy so if you TG looks a shade under 20 make sure she has ID or they will not let her in - also TG's do not have to pay to get in - just let her walk in front and dont get fleeced of that 100 Bhat (however makes no diffrence as if you buy her a drink will still be the same 100 Baht), but just makes me feel better that you have the option of walking back out of the place if it's not 'kicking'. Best time to go is midnite - 1 am .. after that freelancers start having the upper hand.

TaiPan/Baya Beach/VIP/Rio - lumped them all togther cos have similar feel and don't really enjoy them much - TaiPan has very 'open' door policy so you might get lucky, however the chances of catching something from freelancers there is significantly higher than girls from bars or go-go's so suit up! Music wise varies - Rio probably has best DJ and TaiPans live music is pretty good before the disco kicks in at midnite.

Dragon- good to play pool, can talk in front section and has rotating DJ's playing mix of music, never seems full enough in official hours - worth checking out after Tiger/Banana/TaiPan close.

Crocodile - getting to like this place a lot, music is the best in Patong and DJ who actually reads the crowd! There does seem to be more farang in there so needs to pull in more unattached girls, but if you enjoy your music and your TG can dance (poor JayBee - hope you cured her!!) then would give this place a visit - some mite be put off cos its at the end of Soi Andaman (Katoey) - Don't be cos they don't encourage katoey's in the club! Stays open very late and saves the tuk-tuk trip to Safari!

Banana - still going and going - too crowed ususally, good mainstream music and reasonable chances of picking up and Japanese or Korean girl for a chnage, also seems to pull in plenty of farang girls (arggghhhh) and Thai beach bums seeking them out. For 200 Bhat entry (2 drinks) can't see this formula lasting forever with increasing competition - needs a thorough overhall IMHO.

PS Marc26 - maybe true about Angels disco in Nana Hotel BKK - but so dark in there have to be careful what you end up with. In RP I went to a disco where I was the only farang and ratio was 50-1 - yes heaven exists!

When I go to Tiger usually after 1:00am it's always packed but I feel it's too crowded and dark and loud. I like Taipan more and more lately, it's brighter and I feel the girls are just as good as any disco, (they all move around to where the guys are anyways).
The only thing I don't like about Taipan is Heineken's are 120bt which I feel is too much drinks are expensive as well.
