Revolucion runs North-South and Calle Primera (aka Ratero alley) the cross street at the arch runs East-West.

It sounds like you were headed West on Calle Primera near Hotel Colon which is on the South side of the street just past the bar El Fracaso on the North side. This street between the Rev and Constitucion is a well known area for muggings and not a good place to be for anybody.

zona Norte is bordered by 1st street as the South end of Zona Norte...The arches are on the border...it extends to the international road, and goes miles to the West....So yes that hotel is in Zona Norte.

I must admit I was thinking with the small head and not the big one. If I knew her name I would post it although I doubt she would give me her real name if she intended to rip me off. She was about 5'8" tall, slim, nice tits, pretty and spoke English really well. She didn't have much of an accent. She was wearing blue jeans and a jacket. She was too good to be true, which should have made me suscpiscious in the first place. My purpose for posting the story was to let you guys know about her so you would be on your guard even though I feel like a dumb shit for letting it happen. I didn't realize that. I thought the Zona started about a block further along. The hotel where this happened is near the arch. If you are standing on Revolucion at the arch (Revolucion runs east west) and you go south on that street at the arch, there is a small convenience store which is the first thing you come to on the left side of the street. Next to that, is the hotel entrance and the hotel is upstairs. In that area, near the hotel entrance is where you start seeing chicas standing along the sidewalk looking for customers. The further along you go, there are more of them until you turn right down the hill into the section I assumed was the Zona.

As Fireballs and Brant said, the "zona" as nearabouts Adelitas and the alley is a safe screw place, one does git ripped off on the services. But this one is a wholesale rip off ! Its actually robbery

Just to clarify, that was the original posters quote...I have never had a problem in the zona....I was just pointing out that this problem was in the zona...and fireballs points out what lots of gringos think...the zona is the block that Adelitas is on, but the truth is it stretches many, many miles....the bars are mostly in the area but Zona Norte is much bigger than those 2 or 3 blocks you visit when you are seeing prostitutes.

I think the problem happened with Mmbster because he didn't choose a traditional BG, or in this case an SG who stands in one spot waiting for you to walk by. Usually an SG will stand in a spot with other SGs nearby. (BGs always work inside a bar.)

It' sounds like this girl was a walker, or not even that, but actually was a rip off artist pretending she was a hooker to unsuspecting mongering tourist. It sounds like he was on ART 123 between Revolution and the start of the zona?

I been hearing a few things about girls like this, or worst guys telling you they have a hot girl, and to follow them. You never want to do that, as it could be a set up for a robbery. I make it a point to not talk to anybody in the street, and I never let a girl choose me, I do the picking.

With SGs, you can't always request to pay after, as many or most SGs won't go along with this request. Some of them are so bad, if you pay them $20 it means one position, and you ask them for doggie, they say $5 dollars more, and sometimes you have to stop what you are doing, and actually give them the $5 dollars or it's no go. But it's only $20 dollars, so really I don't care. But yes with BGs always try to insist on paying after, and if they say no just leave, as most hotel will let you bring up another girl for free, if you tell them what happened.

In all my years in Tijuana I have never have a chica rip me off. I mean stealing from my wallet, or running off with my money. I have had a course bad sessions, and one or two SGs promise me something, but then later tell me she never said that, but nothing major, and I have only heard of a few incidents where the girls actually steal money. ( I'm not counting the sob stories the chicas tells their pretend boyfriends in the bars. I'm not talking about the suckers here.) Now in the US I had incidents like what happen to mmbster happen to me.

And stop dreaming that the providers will wake up and stop ripping you off.

The workers at the hotel should have given you

I was in TJ about a month ago doing my usual thing. I generally pop a viagra and then visit some titty bars along Revolution. Once the viagra has taken full effect and I've been teased up a bit by the bar girls, I head on down to the zona and find a chica. I just passed the big arch and was walking toward the zona when a pretty girl approached me and asked if I was looking for a girl. I said that yes I was. She was dressed in blue jeans and a shirt and didn't look the part of a hooker. She said she could do everything for me for $60, including the room. My guard should have gone up, but didn't. I was in the mood and she was very good looking. So, I followed her to a hotel accross the street near the arch and we went upstairs. She asked me for $60 which I gave her and told me to "wait here." At that point I got suspiscious and I walked around the corner to see what she was up to. She was talking with the hotel clerk that it appeared she knew and they were speaking spanish, doing a lot of giggling, and it appeared she was going through the motions of getting a room. The hotel had two entrances and I thought she was about to bolt out the other entrance with my money. She saw me watching her and I walked toward her starting to ask her some questions. To keep me from getting too far out of line, she took me to the room and then said "I forgot the condoms, I have to go get them." So I followed out of the room and into the hotel lobby asking for my money back, but it was clear I had been had and it seemed to me that if I made too much of a fuss, I would just get myself in trouble. So off she went and I followed her out to the street where she jumped into a cab and took off. I talked to a couple of guys at the hotel and they said she was a regular there at ripping guys off. She would take them in one entrance and then walk out the other and jump in a cab. I kind of knew by the way they looked at me when I first walked in with her that she wasn't legit. Their facial expressions said it all and that's why I got suspiscious in the first place. Anyway, all the times I've been to TJ getting pussy, I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later. I was really pissed off at the time as I only had about $80 on me and she took $60 which didn't leave me enough to go get some pussy in the zona. But I figured better to accept it quietly as its only $60 rather than cause a rukus and get in real trouble. I've never had any trouble in the zona and I think I'll hang out there from now on.
