It might be $5 on the weekend, I was there about 8pm-ish Thursday night and the $3.50 cover charge included one beer. I really wasn't expecting a cover charge but since they included the beer I didn't think it was all that bad. I feel like I got my $3.50 worth.

An American lady I met in the lobby said she had been to several TJ dentists and had settled on this one, the previous one she tried had a clean office but they didn't seem to be that good to her. This is the only one I've tried in TJ so I guess I got lucky.

The truth is most restorations will last at least 8 years unless there are major problems or serious incompetence, so I won't really know for another 10-20 years how good they REALLY are (The better restorations last much longer than 8 years), but the fiberglass posts most dentists (including them) now use haven't been around that long so we are all guinea pigs with respect to those fiberglass posts. All you can do is see how meticulous they are and they were pretty meticulous, which is essential for this kind of work, especially the endodontic work (the root canal).

As for the sex, well I did suck on some titties after getting tittie slapped, but yeah I know that wasn't enough, I'll do better next time. I've been told that the price has jumped to five bucks That being said, I have spent long periods of time in HK without buying anything. I've even had trouble finding a mesero from time to time. Some of the hotels are "chica-friendly" while some aren't. I have no personal knowledge of Hotel Diaz. I am a big fan of Hotel Espana on the east side of Revolucion between 3rd and 4th. Very clean and quiet and have never had a problem taking a chica there. Hotel Ticuan is also a favorite of many mongers. It costs more but is much nicer and a few more blocks away from the Zone between Revolucion and Constitucion on the north side of 8th st. across the street from the police station.


Yes, this is how the bars make their money. The chica gets a "ficha" for every drink the mongers buy for them. She then cashes them in at the end of the night. There are reports that each chica has a quota of how many fichas she is supposed to gather during her shift.


Yes, this is common in HK. It is customary to tip a dollar for the experience. The experience varies but usually kissing and groping is involved.


You might be happier with an escort. The SGs want you to get done as quickly as possible. And the 30 minutes with the BGs is often interrupted at 15 to 20 minutes with a knock on the door saying your time is up. The SGs are required to have health cards and the authorities do random checks. Herpes is always a concern.


The slow season does not start until around Christmas when many of the chicas go home to visit their relatives. But even then, there are always plenty of choices in la Zona.

Was at a Bar on Revolution. This girl would come over and some messero with a whistle and a Tequilla bottle. I was surprised about the cover too, but one thing that softened the blow a little bit is that the $3.50 cover charge includes one beer, he took my $3.50 and handed me a beer without asking me what kind I wanted, it was a Tecata. I actually don't know what HK charges for a beer but if the other places had a 2 for 1 special for $3, that implied to me that $3 was the going rate for a beer, so if that's about what HK usually charges for a beer, I guess the cover isn't that much if you were going to buy a $3 beer anyway.

But I also read HK is usually wall to wall people and maybe the cover explains why it wasn't packed when I was there?

Maybe I was exaggerating slightly about poking my head in, but how much walking I did once inside depended on the layout of the place, if I could see everything from just inside the door, I didn't see the point in wandering around pretending I'm looking for a seat and then leaving anyway, I'm not sure if I understand how that's better?

But I definitely agree it's better to get another visitor to translate for me instead of one of the locals. One local that talked to me offered to help me get some girls and I said no thanks, then he asked me if I wanted to make $1000. First off I've never heard of HK having a cover charge. In fact as far as I can remember I can stay inside Hong Kong the entire time without buying a beer. I buy a beer just to fit in. You don't really need to speak spanish to take one of these girls. You need spanish so you won't get ripped off by waiters,merchants,etc. I think it's stretching it a little to take a girl for an hour. You probably have a better chance of getting her for the whole night.

I think you should always ignore the waiters unless you are getting a beer or getting change for a $20. If you want someone to translate for you get someone that is there to have a good time to do that for you. Not a local one.

If you want to peek inside one of the bars don't just stick your head. Get in because if you just stick your head to see what's going on the men standing outside are not going to appreciate it. Just take a lap inside the bar as if you are trying to find a seat. Or go to the restroom. If they are asking for a cover charge just don't go inside.

I moved to the Los Angeles area a while back and while I speak a little French, German, and Thai, I never had a need to learn Spanish before but now maybe I guess I should learn since there is so much Spanish spoken in this area. I really wasn't planning to go to Tijuana for the adult / bar scene, but when my dentist told me one of my cavities had got a little too deep for an ordinary filling and I needed to come up with $2,500 for a root canal and crown, I ended up finding a place in Tijuana that would do that for $550 (actually the root canal and crown are $470 and they also do a post for $80 but that's another story). Anyway my dentist said the crown might wait but the root canal couldn't wait and to get it done ASAP. So I headed to Tijuana before I had a chance to study much Spanish, I probably only know 20 words in Spanish for my trip. Before I left I read some of the posts here to try to get a feel for the adult scene in TJ.

So I get my root canal done from about noon-2pm, they did a great job BTW, but the first day of any root canal usually feels like someone smacked you in the jaw and the side of your face hurts, at least that's the effect they have on me. The dentist gave me prescription pain killers (I didn't ask for them, I guess she knew I'd feel pain, most of my nerve was intact before she removed it) and I took as prescribed but it didn't seem to help, maybe it would have hurt worse without the pain killer, I don't know.

I did feel good enough to wander around Zone Norte and check out the SG, and of course saw hundreds of girls, a few of whom (maybe about 4 or 5) I might have been interested in had I been feeling better. The room was clean but after I tried to sleep there I started getting congested, almost like an allergic reaction or something, so I wondered of there were dust mites in the bedding or something? I'm not sure what the cause was but that made it kind of hard to sleep, not being able to breathe through my nose because normally I don't have that problem. There was a big sign up in the lobby that said something like "For your safety and security, no visitors are allowed to the rooms", does this mean I can't bring a girl back to my room with me? Or is that not enforced? Anybody know? The girl I met later that day said she thought they would let me take her to my room in spite of that sign.

I have to go back to get my crown and I actually made my appointment later than my dentist will be ready for me, so that I'd have some time to learn a little spanish, as it was really frustrating not being able to communicate sometimes. So I left Tijuana virgin and came home a Tijuana virgin, not a huge disappointment since I really went there for dental work in the first place. But who knows if maybe I can speak a little Spanish next time, do you think I might be able to get an hour with a SG instead of the ridiculously short 15 minutes? Is that possible? Then again having heard stories about the herpes rates and that the bar girls may have their health checked but the SG probably don't even though they tell you they do, I really don't want to get herpes so maybe I should stick with the BG and forget about the SG? I always wear protection but it doesn't always protect against herpes.

One thing I wondered about this time of year...maybe it slows down after labor day or something? Because HK was not packed like I read it was over the summer, there were always 1 or 2 open seats right next to mine right at the seforum.xxxe. And a few other things made me think it might be a slower season for them where the ladies might be more willing to negotiate compared to when they're busy. The dentist office definitely said this is the slow season for them too but I'm not sure if that extends to the oldest profession, does it?
