I agree with Fireballs, my understanding is that the vast majority of TS working as prostitutes are pre op. Here's my thinking on why, if a TS wants to work as a prostitute the penis is a selling point, if it's a person just trying to live a normal life (not in the sex industry) and pass as another gender then they will go the extra mile to attract a completely "normal" guy.

I think most of those bars disappeared or are closed. Bambi's being the latest TV bar to close, and all those other places that may have a tranny or two are only open on weekends. A couple of weeks ago I was walking on Revolution on a Thursday night and Bambi's was shut down. I would have went into Eclipse to check it out as there has been reports on other forums about real women stealing money from the guys and acting real aggressive. I told them that's a sign it's a transsexual, and they told me I was wrong that those are old girls from back in the day where you could get sucked in a bar on REVO for just about the price of a beer!

Careful, some people on this forum say that Articulo 123 is one of the most dangerous streets in Tijuana, and even the TJ cops warn you to stay away from here. Personally I don't consider it that dangerous anymore, as the greatest danger is the cops themselves.

I heard Bambi's was closed months ago, it appears to be indefinite.

Next door is Eclipse, it's unmarked, just to the right of Bambi's. I haven't heard about it being closed but it is the other major tranny bar. It is also a clip joint, the waiters will rip you off given a chance.

I haven't heard anything about other tranny bars, although some regular stripper bars (El Tigre) are reputed to have trannys.

Supposedly the Salsa club "Mangos" on 1st and Negrete is reopening as a tranny bar, but I don't know if it will just be a gay bar with a drag show or a shemale hooker bar ala Bambi's.
