What are the Post Shootout Conditions?

I was just there yesterday and everything is normal.

I went down this past Wednesday afternoon and la Zona was very quiet. Of course, the weather had just changed. After the gorgeous, hot sunny days, Wednesday was very overcast and downright cold. No sign of any trouble, but then again, I don't normally go looking for trouble. I did find some fun, though, which, thankfully, was what I was looking for.

I don't think anyone really knows what happened in that shootout, except the participants. I think most locals don't believe what they read either.

I don't know how anyone could not see the military presences in the Zona this week as trucks full of soldiers have been up and down Coahuila all week. I must have seen 150 soldiers every night I visited this week.

I was in the zona last night and saw no signs of trouble or extra military or police.

Our cabby said that there weren't corrupt cops working with the drug gang in the last shootout as reported and that the media distorts that. I'm not sure I believe him but I pass it along.

I wonder if TJ is safe enough so I can take a run for the border as I'm tired of fucking my wife?"

We also have a few mongers on these sites, especially that other "piece of shit TJ site' ( don't get me started on them) who have a little bit of knowledge about TJ, and want to keep you in fear about Tijuana just like them, and of course their fantasy.

Anyway we have these Walter Mitter types you know the mild-mannered men who probably never ran a red light in his life even when it's clear no cop is there, never stolen anything as a kid, and never cheated in school, or his job to get ahead, and never cheated on his taxes.

In order to get away from their mundane work and home surroundings go to Tijuana, and fantasizes about being James Bond like. You know they see themselves in a dangerous foreign country where they match wits and play a cat and mouse game with drug lords ,choke-holding gang bangers, and corrupt cops looking to slap foreign gringos around and dip their hand into their wallets. These Walter Mitter types see themselves as a great lovers just like James Bond too, jumping from one hot beautiful young women to another
with no emotion, because Bond doesn't show emotion towards women either, except in that last film. Never mind that these guys are paying hookers for sex, and the international city is just a border city south of the US, and that the TJ police more or less keep peace in the zona, and really a trip to TJ is no more dangerous than a trip to a Disneyland.

Hey who am I to ruin someones fantasy if they want to play James Bond, and have everybody think Tijuana is a 3rd world dangerous country, and they are risking their lives to come fuck sex workers....then who am I to tell them it's not.? Hell many times my life is like Water Mitter's too, except I don't play James Bond I like to play that I'm a local from Michoacلn Mexico here with the last of my money to find the love of my life.

The shootout was no where near the zona, and in fact quite a distance away. and like Killit said, it's the same as it's always is. There will always be corrupt cops in TJ, and drug lords, but I doubt you'll ever see them? ( drug lords) Don't let the TJ cops bother you and it has been reported by others that TJ cops shakedowns are way down. I don't know where the drug lords, and the Zeta's who work for them hang out, but it doesn't look like they hang out in the zona?

Maybe the drug lords put out a warning to their cut throat thugs who free lance for them," don't shoot at the gringo's and don't risk even collateral damage, as it would be bad for our drug business if US citizens were killed even if they are mongers who come to Mexico to fuck TJ's cheap putas."

Like I always say, " the water is warm come on down " In fact I'll probably be in TJ next week or the week after, and It's almost 100% chance I won't get shot at, see anybody shot at, nor kidnapped, or attempted kidnapped. Nor I doubt I will be robbed, and the TJ cops leave me alone 98% of the time so I'm fairly certain they won't even bother me on my next trip?

The worst thing that will usually happen to me is I pick the wrong chica, and I'll have a bad sexual experience, but since I usually pick two girls, I'm fairly certain at least one of them will knock my sock off?
