What is the most convenient area to do independent massage?

Hey,

I apologize in advance if this is the wrong section. Me and a few friends are looking to go independent but want to know the areas that would work best. We were thinking hotels because it gives us a more private setting and we can have rooms with a jacuzi in it too. Plus we don't want to spend a lot to get a building and it also leaves us flex to move where the clients want!

So here are the areas I came up with:

Central Toronto:
401/Islington Ave
Wilson Ave/Jane St

Etobicoke:
427/Burnhamthorpe or Dundas St.

Brampton:
Various places off the 410 and also others not near the highway, lots of options here.

Mississauga:
Near one of the three highways, lots of choices here too.

I think Etobicoke would be the best because people from Downtown can easily get there as well as Mississauga and North York. The other cities are more towards the edge so they would limit travel.

Also what would a good rate be for just Massage with a happy ending? We were thinking $60 to $70 for a half hour, $35 for 15 mins or so. Hour would scale to one of those rates.

I think you're just asking for advice here so I wouldn't worry too much about unpaid advertising. I live in the west end and can tell you the last place I'd ever want to go is 401 and Islington.

Mississauga - Dixie and 401 or any of the Airport hotels are good.
Etobicoke - 427 and Dundas or Burnhamthorpe are good locales but I'm not sure if there are any hotels around there. There are motels.

I think if you want to tap into the Toronto market you hit any of the downtown hotels or North York (Yonge & 401/Sheppard). I would advise against 15 min rates. I'd have 3 different pricing structures 30/45/60 min. To put $ into perspective a 30 min bodyslide at the typical massage parlor is around $130-$150.

401 and Islington is right off the highway with a hotel close so it can be accessed easily. The alternate would be Airport hotels on Dixon Road.

Depends on the crowd you want to attract. Some Indy MPAs seem to do reasonably well downtown, in the core. Many hotels around Yonge/College.

Otherwise, highway access is key.

Why don't you try Markham/Richmond Hill. You have little or no competition. All the other areas you quoted already have Spas offering the same services.

So now that you have posted your picture and asked for infrormation from the members, how about giving us deatils of how to make appointments with you. You wanted to know where to advertise and since your post verges on an advertisement why not follow through and let members know where to book.

I think $40 is the typical rate for a basic half hour massage...

If you want to offer independant massage in a condo or hotel, forget about basic massage. Offer VIP sessions only. 45 min and 60 min sessions probably for about $140 to $150 for 45min and maybe $200 for 60min. As for location any place close to the 401 is pretty good.
I say get yourself a condo and pay for it with your service.

Indy Jennifer 'tours' to Mississauga/Airport and Markham and even Vaughan the odd time. DT is her main stay.

I don't know about any other independent massage gal that travels outside of DT but I suppose you could check TRZ or the other indies in the Independent Massage section of massageplanet.net.

If you go condo, get one with a concierge. Get a decent table, shower & music. Lots of clean towels are important as that's all part of the higher end experience.
Nice smelling soaps and things. Lazer zap the bush, and ass. Now I would suggest 45min/80min sessions, as that's better for indy setup (door $45/$60)

Depends. Sometimes worse having guys loiter around the lobby looking lost. Tip the concierge and he can be your friend.

427/Dundas hotel strip is a hotbed for LE. 427/Queensway might be a better choice.
