Which table would you recommend?

I am looking at getting an electric lift table and am wondering if anyone has any input.
I am deciding between the Earthlite Ellora Lift Massage Table (http://www.earthlite.com/ellora-spa-and-salon-massage-table.html?___SID=U) and the Oakworks Proluxe Seville (http://www.massagetables.com/electric-lift-tables/ProLuxe-Seville.asp). Obviously the Oakworks one is going to be a little more but if I get more recommendations for that one then, I will spend it. Or if anyone has any other suggestions for electric lift tables, please share! I am open to anything at this point (Especially if it's cheaper ) Thanks!

I realized I should make the comment, I have never had a 'stationary' table before. Currently I have a FitMaster table that measures 72 in length (84 with facerest) and 29 in width.

Wow, the Oakworks I know is wonderful, I used it at a spa I used to work at!
The great thing about that one is you can get it in up to 32" wide size.
I just got the Oakworks Wellspring in the 31" wide and it accommodates my largest client. (His arms fit on the table) I would def recommend something wider that 29". I find that more people are larger rather than smaller, good luck!!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to get the wide one, however I am working in a VERY small space currently so I will probably go with the 30" as with my 29" I am pushing it as far as being able to get around and have extra space. But I see what you are saying, I do have a few larger clients that I wish I had a wider table for as I am not a size 0 by ANY means.

Don't forget that you can write off $$$ on taxes for an electric lift table. I don't know the details, but I believe it falls under an ADA tax credit of some type. That may make the expense a bit more bearable.

I have an oakworks Valencia and am so happy I'll be purchasing an Oakworks Seville next.

The motor is quiet and the movement is so smooth people don't realize they're even moving! I've tested the movement with heavier weight (stood on the table with friends to put on over 500lbs) and the movement was just as smooth and the sound as quiet as it is with no one on the table. I've had mine 1.5 years and not one single problem. I am glad I added on an additional foot pedal so I can have one at each end of the table & am pleased with the upgrade to the aerocel padding. Clients love how comfortable it is!

I have no experience with the Ellora, however I too considered it. I know a therapist who has had one for awhile now and is pleased with the purchase. Unfortunately I can't say anything about it personally.

We have an Ellora in one of our hotel treatment rooms. It is ok.

we prefer working with tables with a cabinet base for storage/towel cabis.

as for your taxes, if you are an S corp or LLC you can still write off your capital investments 100% in the first year so long that does not put you in negative income for the year. Essentially, you classify the full amount as a depreciation expense.

I would love to add an option that may be of help for you.

When you have a smaller width table (and even a larger one), you can place two egg crates on it and overlay that with your mattress pad. This will provide you with some extra width that is "flexible" but strong enough to hold a wider persons arms (which is usually the main reason most MT's want the extra width anyway).

If you are wanting the extra width for specilized bodywork, there are enough times that this will also give you what you are looking for. However, I figure most people who do that kind of bodywork, will most likely have the wider table anyway, and won't need the "cheat".

So, this should be a good method for you to get the extra few inches.
