Why are escort agencies called "Massage Parlors"?

So, I was looking through the newspaper and I came across the adult services section. Why are the escort agencies all called Massage Parlors? Stop beating around the bush. It's 35p for a "beautiful lady" to get you off over the phone. £60 for a "beautiful professional model" to give you a bl*w job.

Massage Parlours and Escort Agencies are slightly different. In the former the prostitutes work in the building and the guys go to them in the latter the guy calls the agency on the telephone specifies what sort of girl he wants and she visits him at his home and/or accompanies him to a social event before sleeping with him for money.

THERE is a HUGE difference between escorts & what you're asking about...

First: Escorts are professional dates, personal models, exotic dancers & companions...they also do fantasy & fetish shows. There is no sexual contact between the escort & client, contrary to belief or what you may see on TV. Some escorts do "body rubs" if it's legal where they work (the city, town or state) but usually the contact does not surpass lapdancing. They basically cater to gentlemen who cannot patronize an adult store or club for the reasons of discretion. I know that there are a few prostitutes who will advertise "as escorts," to try & get clients. They end up in jail petty fast. I laughed my butt off at that movie, 'The Girlfriend Experience.' GFE REALLY MEANS that you act as the clients' girlfriend (entally & emotionally) but is no way means that you'll have sex with them...GFE means that the escort wil fill a certain void in the clients' lives.

--If you offer, advertise or provide massage services...even if you are not being paid for it...even if you call it something else, you're going to jail. The providing of massage without a license is illegal and even if you had a license, then you would not be allowed to give a massage in an adult entertainment or adult setting. This is a FEDERAL Law & rings true throughout Florida as well as every other state, so far as I know.

Okay...now that you know the difference between a professional escort & a massage therapist, the parlors you're referring to are usually operating illegally. They usually are owned & operated by Asians (I don't know why) and they're ALL over the place. If you look, you can see the billboards all over the place. The ads online are all over the lace, as well. The parlors are usually operating under say...one person's rofessiona MA License & are often raided because they operate illegally. The price is around $60 for a massage & the "john" is supposed to tip the massage therapist to "finish him off." To evade the law, they often rub the client's back after giving him a table shower for about 45 minutes...then, they will ask him to flip over at whih time the girl will act totally SHOCKED that the guy is erect. She will look at her tip jar & at this point, he's supposed to drop about $50 in the jar. Then, he has his "big finish.'

You won't, for ex., find any of that going on in FL without being raided, often. these are referred to by law enforcement officials as "rackets of organized crime," and the person who is running the operation is usually given warnings or fines for the first few offences. Thereafter, they can, for ex., be charged with "deriving the proceeds of prostitution," or "keeping a house of ill fame." The worst case scenario would land the crimina 30 years in federal prison under the Federal RICO Act.
