York Le - Close Call

After playing telephone tag with an SP for most of the afternoon without success, I decided (against my better judgment) to drive around the IT plaza in Richmond Hill, as I hadn't been by in a while due to the LE heat. As I drive around the plaza to see what activity is going on, I noticed that even IT's "OPEN" sign is turned off - strange.

As I drive by the rear enclosed parking lot, I notice 2 undercover cops with an Oriental MPA in handcuffs between 2 vehicles. I decide to pull into the industrial parking lot next to the plaza, and watch what happens - not much until I see a York Region cruiser pull up to the front of the MP, and then I decide it's time to leave.

This was at 4pm on a Wednesday afternoon, so that's it, no more hobbying in York region.

As I left, I noticed that IT's sign was now back on - must have been a temporary power failure...............

That's insane. Bylaw's on neon signs? Do you know if there planning on banning the big jumbotron outside IT with the streaming video from each session.

Well, not everything that happens in that plaza is visible from Paul's window. Especially since the poster said the incident happened at the rear of the plaza.

Maybe my original post was a little confusing. The plaza is horseshoe shaped with front parking in front of units and rear parking in the "inner horseshoe area"

The activity took place behind the most northern unit facing Sims, so unless Paul had a camera at the back of his unit, he would not have seen the apprehension. MPA definitely in handcuffs (and not in a sexual context)

It's a semi good by-law. It forced the Walmart people to shut the damn sign off at night when the store is closed.

A few months ago, I went to Barbara's on Hanlan Rod. (Woodbridge). It was dark out. Literally 30 seconds later LE pulled up and ran the 4-5 Licence plates on the cars in the lot at the time-incl. mine. I waited in the lobby, as not to become a "found in" naked in a room (also the ladies wanted to see if LE would try to enter the premises). LE then pulled away and quietly drove down the street. A whole 10-20 seconds later a guy must've just finished up, he walked to the foyer, said goodbye to the two ladies and walked out the front door. He had NO IDEA that LE was just in the parking lot. LE sees him leave, they turn around and they pull him over! I briefly laugh, I bid the ladies farewell (not taking a chance that night), and I RAN to my car and got the hell outta' dodge! In hindsight, I normally would've warned the poor guy, but it all happened so fast....

No offence, but unless LE lightens up, or the laws suddenly become relaxed (yeah right) my MP days ARE OVER!!
