The word I got from a friend at Rock Hard is that for 6,000 Baht salary, the quota is 6 barfines a month and 30 lady drinks. From my experience, there may be different salaries from different girls, where a higher salary will require a higher barfine quota. I don't know if that's the case for R.H. Oh, I think the girl gets 1/2 of the bar fine too.

All in all I would agree with that.

Sometimes I think it is hard to compare as the venues are different.
For example Pattaya has many more go-go's and that is generally where you find those who can or do command more, whereas the typical beer bar girl in Pattaya is pretty much set on 500/1000.

Taking a girl from a beer bar in Phuket will cost you about the same as one from a beer bar in Pattaya, perhaps with the exception that the more commanding girl in Phuket is also likely to be found in a beer bar.

Comparing the two venues from an expense point of view when it comes to party and P4P, and to argue that one is cheaper than the other is really pinching pennies. Many are spending 5,000 to 10,000 (plus) per day, so who cares if 2, 3 or 400 baht could be saved.

Hotels are a bit more in Phuket if you want to be near the beach, but IMO you do get more for your money in Phuket with you are seeking other activities than just P4P.

Obviously you have the transportation issue, where Pattaya offers 10 baht for 90% of the rides you want to take and 200 baht is the minimum in Phuket. Don't forget that if you commission a door-to-door ride in Pattaya it will cost you 100-150 baht.

BTW. 700 baht is what many girls are asking for in Soi 6, however, that is more like a trial balloon. You don't even have to negotiate, just say no thanks and 500 baht (+300 baht BF/ST loom) will be the price. I have only paid 700 baht in Soi 6 twice and each time she could command it.

I completely disagree.

I have spent a lot of time in Patong. In the course of 6 years, I spent a sum total of one year there. In the first few years, it was very easy to pull a decent-looking(a notch above avg) girl for 1000 Baht LT in the high season, which, unfortunately is the only time of year I can take off work. But by 2005, I really could not get better than avg quality for 1000, and from the comments I had on one of those girls, some would say below avg! The girls of the quality I had been getting previously, were 1500 LT in 2005, and usually, that required some haggling, as they were asking 2000.

I didn't usually go with stunners, but the times I did, I paid 2000 LT. They would not haggle, price was firm, and I would walk away from a girl at that price, if I did not think she was a stunner.

My impression is that the best-looking girls in Patong want to go with young men. If they are hard-up for cash they will compromise on age, but want more money, and still try to get the youngest guy they can pull, although that may mean going over 40.

In Patts, there are simply so many girls, and not enough young guys to go around. I can go in a gogo there and have young girls vying for my attention, happy to go with me for 1500, no haggling, and they treat me very well. These are girls who are better looking than all but the stunners in Patong.

In the beer bars, I can find girls who will go for 1000 Baht, who are better-looking than any girl I can get in Patong for 1500. The two I spent most of my last 5 months tour with, both were found in beer bars, and both went with me for 1000 per night. Both of them were a fair bit better-looking than any girl I have EVER had for 1000 Baht LT in Patong. They were not stunners, but were more than a notch above average. More like a notch below stunner.

I freely admit that it did take quite a bit of looking around to find those girls, as not every girl of that caliber in Pattaya will go with you for 1000. Most want 1500. But most of that caliber, want 2000 or more in Patong, if they will even stoop to consider going with me, which they will not, if business is brisk, with lots of young men around.

Simply put, my last two tours of Patong were spent with girls that were slightly above average at 1500/night. My last two tours of Pattaya were spent with girls who were way above average for 1000/night.

Also, you can get ST any time of day or night, any time of year for 500, with no haggling on Beach Rd. with avg girls, or sometimes above average, if you take your time looking.

So it is easy to say there is no difference in prices, because you can get girls in Patong for the same prices as in Pattaya. But, my experience is that, in terms of what you are getting for the price, the difference is like night and day.

I think if you pick a gal you like the look of....take the time to get to know her...buy her a few drinks and treat her like you are on a date....it all becomes less business like and money oriented....then there is not much difference between Patts + Tong as far as price goes...

prolly cheaper in patts though if you wanna fgo in cold and are prepared to pick up a FL on then boulevard beach side....but not my cup of tea

My bar has no quota at all, we just keep 4 barfinds and split the rest.
there's no pressure to go with customers at all, as long as they work!!!
I'd prefer if the girls stay and make the bar attractive rather than go "out"
The customers appreciate our policy ..no nagging for lady drinks.

Im not sure we can compare what we call prostitution in the West to what happens in Thailand. Technically it is of course but the double standard we have in the West is not so keenly felt....it seems. Most Asians wouldnt be seen dead in a bar Im sure.
