Well, so much time gets spent on the "class" spas, like Allure or SRM (I know, 'cause I'm one of the guys who reviews these places) in this forum; I thought I would check out a little cubby hole I used to frequent, although I hadn't been for perhaps a year. St. Clair West is my old part of town, before I moved to Eastern Ontario, and I still maintain a tiny apartment there for when I am in Toronto. First of all, concerning the area, this is still my favourite part of Toronto. It is utterly unpretentious, and in no way "yuppified". When I was at university, the area was heavily Italian and West Indian, though lately many more Hispanics have moved in. This suits me fine, as I can speak Spanish, but not Italian. (I'm trying to give background and context, like those very accomplished writers, VBB and The Ladies' Man. So please bear with me).
Anyway the spa itself is on the second floor, and is very plain. I always shower before I go, at my apartment, as the place is none too clean (think Chinese restaurant on Dundas). You enter the front door and ring the bell, and the girl comes down to let you in. There are only one or two girls at a time, and last week I was received by Lily. From China, not too much English. Pretty, broad face, lovely hair. I dropped my clothes on a chair, and got a back massage (my butt covered by a towel, as required by the Toronto idealogues). When she asked me to flip over, I asked if she would like to do a NR, and she said this would be fine. (For those who are interested, she has full, sumptuous breasts). The massage itself was a little weak, but Lily made up for this in her extraordinarily affectionate manner, cuddling me, and telling me "You're so handsome!" (Yeah, right- I'm past the half century mark!). Anyway, the clean up was with baby wipes (no real facilities in the rooms). Sort of reminded me of when my kids were tiny. We raised them on St. Clair. Cost was $100, and I will willingly repeat. Final note: On the way out I picked up the business card, and the new name is "Four Seasons Health Spa", if that matters. Phone number is the same.
