ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A man that a jury convicted of killing the owner of a massage parlor more than three years ago was sentenced for his crimes Thursday afternoon. Investigators said Jorge Rivera-Ramirez and Juan Carlos Hernandez forced their way into Wonderful Massage in January of 2022 with plans to rob it.

The owner, Sijui Fang, fought back, firing at the two men, but they returned fire, killing her. Rivera-Ramirez was found guilty of first-degree murder, kidnapping, and more for the shooting death of Fang. He pleaded guilty to robbing other massage parlors in 2021. Judge Brett Loveless sentenced him to life plus 18 years.
Hernandez was found guilty of murder, kidnapping, and more. He’s scheduled to go to trial for robbing other massage parlors in June.
