Booze munchies

I think that this fashion started up in Scotland or the north of England ???.....

I was aghast one time when visiting a curry take out late at night in Manchester when a guy ordered "#35 with chips...... twice please"............I looked up at the menu board and saw to my astonishment that he was ordering 2 x Rogan Josh curries with chips under it instead of basmati rice...........I asked him what it was like and he said "fookin' brilleyant maaate"....... he was well pissed........ so could this be the ultimate sop up booze food?????

One day I was trying to workout how to keep the baked beans in the sandwich, instead of spewing out the back end. I tried peanut butter, and it was wonderful. Give it a try, peanut butter and baked bean sandwich.

Vending machine rubbish that the Dutch seem to go nuts for. I would have to be seriously smashed to eat that..

555555555 Same same for me. Doner meat & chips with chilli sauce(lots of:ytounge: ) and all the salads. One to eat there and another to take home and nuke for dinner next day.

In LOS, depends where I'm staying. The Chicken pieces from the cart outside Andaman Beach Suites was very nice. Must try the chicken sticks and Chicken doner on Bangla.

thats funny, when i was in amsterdam my friends and i went to eat at what looked to be a nice restaurant. the food was awful. ordered a shrimp cocktail, it was these disgusting little shrimps that looked like maggots in some sauce. horrible

With a belly full of Dutch beer i find nothing wrong with Febo snack bars.
Quick, no hassle & tasty - try frikendel speciaal or crockettes & the mayo just enhances the chips .. they also do a bloody good thickshake - hhmmmnn, lekker.

I have actually tried this one GB...in Sydney..... as Steve says above it is quite popular.........don't think that I'll do it again as it probably hardens up those flabby arteries a little bit too much...but I liked it......... much to my surprise...

have heard about philedelphia cheese steaks,don't know what the exact make up is but they are supposed to taste good.also even in the states they regard them as too greasy and fatty.
personal favourite for a late night feed is chicken vindaloo and a big naan bread with a big glass of sweet lassi:ytounge:

Peanut butter is very tasty with a number of "odd", addition's.

Peanut butter and banana sandwich. (Elvis style...pan fried)

Peanut butter and pickle sandwich.

Peanut butter and carrots sandwich. (sticks or grated)

Peanut butter and potatoe sandwich. (sliced thin, cold)

Try it as a substitute for, salad dressing, mayonnaise. (ham sandwich)

Some interesting combos there, PB and banana yea could give that a try, not too sure about the others though, especially PB and potato!!! Hmm come to think of it, the misses is working tonight so dinner is on me, might give the PB and potato a try.

Had a mate once that ate PB and onion.

Last winter on the beach. I spotted a TG I knew from the summer before, she was with a couple of friends. They joined me (I had rented 2 sun beds). After a while they ordered some nice little goodies from a lady on the beach: grasshoppers, frogs, beatles, worms. They invited me to join them with their lunch and so I did. And maybe it was because I already drunk a couple of beers, but it tasted actualy quite well. It really went along with the beer.

Some of the bugs arent bad but they are a long way from booze munchies.. Beer nuts perhaps but booze munchies are usually grease bombs..

Falafals on Bangla.. Not seen them.. Love a spicy falafal..

not a funny remark, but actually meant as a serious consideration:

actually not after, but while drinking, have you ever tried crickets or dried froglets. Salty, going down very well with Saeng Som etc. Granted, you would need to get over some western hangups first.

I probably am a "sick man". But not in regards to these "snacks".

I know, they sound kind of "kinky"....But they actually are very tasty.

Even the "potatoe", thing Steve. Really, anything crunchy (vegetable), such as celery, carrots, potatoe, etc...
