Customers robbed at MP

At least there was a happy ending - excuse the pun, but the robbers got caught. I wonder if it was an armed hold-up?

I'm pretty sure the owner of Sunshine Spa was not hurting financially before. He could have hired security but I guess that would have cut into his profits. Which means instead of that million dollar mansion, it's going to have to be a $500,000 home instead. Life can be tough for Spa owners. See what happens when you cheap out on security. Especially this area is not know for being safe. Their sister spa "Golden Touch Massage" also not in a great location (Finch/Weston), just recently had a shooting inside their spa. Sunshine Spa has been robbed before, this is not the first time. However, this owner who owns two spa's and makes a killing won't spend extra money on security. I guess some people just have to learn the hard way. Unfortunately, it's the ladies that get hurt in the long run. If I was a girl, I would not work at either of these locations.

I can't imagine how anything less than an armed guard could protect against armed robbers.

Do you presently go to *any* spas that have the kind of security that you are talking about? I can't think of any.

Having a big black guy or two at the front desk will make people think twice about robbing this place. If this place is know for having security, i'm pretty sure the robbers will think twice about hitting this location and go to an easier one.

He won't spend money to fix up the rooms in his spa. That's why the place is a dump. Why would he spend money on security?

Good point. However, I don't think Sunshine Spa is a dumb, the upstairs is not bad. It's sister spa, Golden spa is a dumb and in a very dangerous area.
