Discouraged - difficulties with deeper massage.

I read someone's comment on FaceBook the other day and really liked it. It went something like this:

Deep tissue massage rarely comes from the hands. It comes from the feet/ankles.

It's very true. And, when you think about it this way, it may help those who are having difficulties, to get deeper with less effort.

I can't agree more ! I only offer deep work to my clients and it is also leverage and not muscling through the issue

As someone who struggled with deep tissue on a table, I suggest changing up table height.
DT isn't Swedish. Drop the table down and drop yourself over the area being worked.
Think straight lines for body mechanics ( my instructor said bent elbows leaked qi, and I get that in a metaphysical sense and a mechanical sense) and keep your shoulder over your elbows (or thumbs, if yours are strong enough....play your strengths).

I passed my DT practical on a day with a full fibro flare by going sllloooooowwwwwwwwly and focusing a lot of intention over the muscle group.
