this question is more for the guys living in los more than holiday. i was there for awhile and had a great time but when it comes to girls, do you guys miss the chase soemtimes. ive been back in the states about a month, and its not like i hook up everytime i go out, i wish, but i kinda find it fun totry and hook up with a girl, going back to her apartment, not knowing whats gonna happen, i thinks its very exciting

I can do wit, I like having a laugh with women, but it's rare that I can be arsed in this country any more- having a laugh with 'em is often wasted.

It sums it up when western girls go to LOS- apart from Koh San Rd etc, they're like a fish outa water. They can't cope with the lack of attention, because they tend to look like greedy, overweight, overexpectant tarts that they generally are. Good. Boot's on the other foot, and they won't be back in a rush. Long may it continue.

Marc I agree with you 100%, there aren't many finer feelings than being with a girl you really like and she feels the same. Trouble is all the crap that inevitably follows a few weeks/months/years down the road, in my country/experience at any rate.
Because they (western girls) are told by the femnazi womens' mags that they should have 'issues', they interrogate you 'cos you don't have 'issues'. I couldn't give a fcuk about that kind of aggro any more.

Had an argument with some self-righteous ***** outside my local pub last night- as is the norm round here she was eavesdropping into my conversation (about Thailand). Her retort was 'you can't handle real women, you have to go with prozzies cos no-one else will have you. They're only after your money.' I pointed out to her that the real women I know are generally in Thailand, and I said that it was a bit rich saying they only want my money, bearing in mind she was English and therefore likely to have turned a few men over in her time by virtue of marrying then ditching them.

My biggest gripe with the sullen-faced witch was the fact that she stuck her oar into a conversation that was none of her damned business. I've come to expect that nowadays though....

Like I've said before, there are some fantastic UK/western girls around, it's just a bit of a trek finding them. Just the same there are some dodgy Thai girls, and these facts are universal around the world.

Me, well I'm content doing what I'm doing. If others have a problem with that, well I really couldn't care less.

For me, having been married a couple of times and been in loads of short and long term relationships with farang women, I have to hold my hands up nowadays and say "you're right. I can't. I agree totally with Paddy. The women these days are so far up themselves there's no room for any one else.These days I just can't be bothered playing their little petty mind games and that's only because I discovered LOS. Once you have been there why would you bother with second best at home !

p.s. Sorry Paul forgot to answer your original question. No, I dont miss the chase at all. I find that I'm just lazy these days and just find it easier in LOS and lets face it the women in LOS are beautiful and are there to please.

Thats exactly how I see it, I had a few great nights on the tear with my mate chasing skirt the last 2wks, I love it even though I went home alone on 3 different occasions but that does not bother me, Its the fun of it all I think.

And I am not missing Los one little bit at the moment to be honest, I know that will change soon after I get sick off chasing the birds here But what better place to go than Los to get my medicine without the chase, Perfect cure And then I will be totally refreshed to start the chase again... I've never enjoyed ''the chase''. It's usually felt like some woman is just playing games with my head, which I do not allow. Probably explains why I have been single most of my adult life. I am a no-nonsense sort of person who does not like to be messed about, so if I ask a girl out and she says no (thinking I'll ask again), we both end up disappointed.

There lies the attraction of LOS. You can date a girl at home for some time before getting any real action or spend a sh*t load of cash on her and then she decides ''you're not really my type''. In LOS, for the equivalent of the price of a pub meal and a couple of drinks in the UK, you can get the night of your life with no strings attached.

Shallow I may be, but it's women who have made me like that.

before i say anything else, i want to profess how much i love thai girls, but i am just stepping back and looking at it objectively. alot of you guys answered this question but how many of you have stayed there for a long time and been involved with a thai girl for a long time while living in LOS. alot of the thinbgs you said about farang women apply to tg once you are with them for more than a holiday. i dont know if i can objectively say it for sure because i was involved with 2 girls at once and they knew about each other so maybe thats why i got so much shit from them, but i hear other guys that have been there and involved and have heard similar stories. girls are girls no matter where you are in the world, they can all be pains in the ass. i think once you get away from the holiday relationship, you get alot the same shit

I hear what you are saying, Paul, and there is some truth to it, because once you get in a relationship with a TG, they don't just rollover and play dead! They have their ideas and their wants and they make them known to you. But it is still not the same.

For example, how many farang girls do you know, who are as good-looking as Gail and Ao, who would go along with the the two GF, love triangle sort of arrangement that you had going on there? You are a very likable, good-looking guy and all, who has no trouble pulling chicks, but in the US, I don't think you could get two hotties to go along with that sort of arrangement. Back in the mid 80's when i first started going to Thailand i did miss the chase, infact on two or three occasions i became so disillusioned with the place that i cut my trip short and went home a week or so ahead of schedule.
Back then i was obviously a lot younger and i struggled to come to terms with the fact that having sex with a stunner was as easy as falling off a log..
Anyway, i gave LOS a miss for a year or two and eased myself back into the western way of courtship only to suffer the disapointment of a failed marriage!
Probably the chief reason why the marriage failed was because i was constantly reflecting on my previous trips to Thiland and the fabulously beautiful assortment of girls which went with it; I did not know how lucky i was to be able to pick and choose almost at random.
These days, i visit Thailand every three months and as i have now entered my 40's the chase has started again; some of the younger babes (whom i have to say i adore) have a policy of not going with guys twice their age! So when this objection presents it's self...LET THE CHASE BEGIN

I think as I have got older I have become less patient with all the crap related to the chase. "shall I call her tonight, no leave it three days because she will think i am too keen-not keen enough" "did she mean this or that" "didn't come back to mine because I might think she is this or that"
You put in all that effort and brain damage, and when the chase has run its full course you end up winning a pasty faced overweight sparring partner. No contest give me LOS everytime, you say what you want and think and they say what they think you want, perfect.

I think it is true as we get older the chase becomes more of a hassel and we would rather just skip all the bullshite and get straight to the festivities. At the same time, trying to score with a chick is half the fun in its self. We back home in the states I have found that many of the women have attitudes and all that. That can become a real pain in the azz. In Thailand it just seems too easy. I think a happy medium is the best option. That is why I like Japan so much. The girls have great attitudes, there is a bit of a challenge and if you play your game right you can always end the night on a high note.
Like Marc said though. The Asian women may be all nice and sweet to begin with. But after you marry them they turn a 180 and become like the western *****es that you despise so much. All women are the same. We as men are trying to get into their pants. They are trying to get us under their thumb. It is all one big game. The question is... who is going to win in the end??

What these witches generally fail to realise, is that its them and their ilk who've made us that way. I've tried being straight with western girls, yet it always backfires; because of what they read in their Cosmo mags, the silly flat-dicks take it on board as if it's gospel. Failing to realise that such publications are often written & edited by man-hating femnazis who have an agenda, & can't abide men being equal to them, let alone getting one over on them.

This skewed version of 'wimmins rights' has caused a lot of problems between men & women, and those who promote it have only themselves to blame. The pendulum has swung too far the other way. Leave 'em to it I say.

I'm still straight with any girl. If they don't like it they can walk away. I won't grovel to anyone, even less so with UK girls- after all the prize we seek probably only gets washed once a day if they're English... dirty feckers !
