Don't miss the "chase" one damm bit. Especially chasing a girl who thinks she just the hottest things but could'nt hold a candle to some girls I've dated here.
If you are in Bangkok or other areas where the Thai women are not BG's there is a chase involved. Not the pain in the ass chase I've experienced in the states but a chase nonetheless. These girls don't just sleep with you the first night.
Paul, I think you are comparing your two girls who were working in the entertainment business with girls in the states who are not. Instead compare the girls in the entertainment business in the states with the ones in Phuket.
Compare the girls that work in banks, hospitals, car rental places in Phuket with the ones in the states and then make a comparison.

i am not comparig my 2 girls at all. in fact wasnt even talking about them. i am just talking about going out on a particular bight to a bar, club and not knowing whats gonna happen. wether i am gonna meet a girl, if i do what will happen back at her apartment. just the single night thing.
then i brought up when you finally "settle" down with a tg, i think you encounter alot of the same bullshit, not all, but alot as you would any other gf or wife

I fully understand the point you are making but cannot 100% agree with your conclusions. You see when i am in LOS I have no idea what is going to happen, maybe because I act completely on impulse all the time, i have no idea if I am going to meet a girl because I may decide that a bit of male bonding and copiuos amounts of alcohol may seem far more interesting or maybe that is the alcohol soaked brain misleading me into thinking it is at the time. Having said that of course in the LOS you have a far greater chance of ending up with a girl of your choice should you decide to but there is still an element of the chase and considered tactics etc will still need to be used to end up with the one you actually want, but this surely is the best way. I have no idea what will happen back at the apartment because beautifully every girl is an individual and that is precisely why I never seem to tire of the whole experience, and just the single night thing is same same.
I cannot from experience fully answer the settle down thing as my only experience to draw on is a 9 moth relationship with a TG and of course must agree that you do get some of the same bulls***e but not anymore than any other longer term relationship with any gf or even mate but the main difference, that i am only too sure that you are fully aware of is, at least with a TG she is trying to please you at all times which unfortunately cannot be said about any English girl i have ever been with and from a limited experience any american girl either.

Just want to ask Marc, when you refer to the chase back at home and the "unknown" do you mean that when you go to LOS you feel that anyone who has enough baht can pickup whereas at home if you pick up it's because they find you attractive? I suppose what I mean is are you referring the feeling in LOS as almost being not real but because you have baht the women will come with you whereas at home they'll only go with you if they find you attractive and the feeling of them genuinely finding you attractive is what you get the buzz from?

If so I think I can understand what you mean, but still prefer the lack of effort required in LOS.

not really. what i really meant is the excitement and the "unknown" of whats goign to happen. when in LOS, i actually, maybe im stupid, feel sometimes that the girl actually likes me. and when i say that, i mean in the context that im a good catch for one night. i usually go with girls from disco, almost never beer bars, that start to show an interest.

an example. last month, i went to safari alone. i ended up hooking up with the one i was eyeing allnight. as alays, as soon as it was kinda established id be hanging out with this girl, her super cute 19yr old friend shows up. anyways, all 3 of us had a great time. so 2 nights later i walk into safari and the 19yr old comes right up to me. did she do that because im so handsome? no, she did it because she saw the other night i like to have a good time and figured im not too bad to hang out with.

what i refer to as the chase is going to a bar,club at home, the feeling you get when you go out and end up either hooking up or gettign a really hot girls number. then that 1st date when you dont know how it will go.
i still say that having a great 1st date is one of the best feelings i ever have
