Being two times divorced has left me somewhat damaged goods, mentally and financially; and I'm as cynical as the next bm about the things tg's say to half drunk farangs.
Most of the bull shit is so easy to spot it's actually comical; which is the way it should be. I'm in the process of renewing my stable right now, some of the old rides have been easy to drop. One I should have got rid of before now! The one that's prompted this post is exceptional in many ways, to me, and has not put a foot wrong so far.
Would it just be self flattery of the most stupid kind to actually believe a word, or is there any way of spotting the truth in these situations.
Sorry if this question annoys too many people, god knows it seems to be impossible to ever know when a woman, any woman, lies to a bloke; any bloke!:mad2:

Difficult question. In my opionion there are only 2 ways to find out:

- Cut if off immidiately, without thinking twice. That's what most ppl tell
- Go with it and learn along the way. There's always a small chance you met an honest person.

I think since you are divorced twice already and still don't know when a woman lies to you, there's no way someone else can tell you :embrassed I say that embrassed because I never been married and you've got more experience than me.

Question is, are you a player ?

For me it's the level and severity of the lie.

One that's very severe would be, that's a level 9 lie
Question: Do you have any kids?
Lie: NO

Question: Did you have a good time in bed with me?
Lie: Yes you are the best man for me.
Level one lie, not severe.

Level 10 lie very severe

So I guess you have to balance the severity of the lie. These were lies that have been told to me by friends that live here on the island.

I can't help with the detecting lies part, but having been divorced 4 times, I have finally figured it out, I think. Just go with the flow. Invest as little hard currency into the venture until after a good deal of time, say 12 months. Don't be in a rush, to impress or commit to an engagement or a marriage.

I know we all get the urge to say "I love you" but you need to quell that until you are totally, totally comfortable with the person.

My advice, is take full advaneforum.xxxe of this good situation, commit to nothing and just see. If I were you, I would fling myself towards the relationship wholeheartedly and that brings me to a troubling part of your stated situation.

You say you are "trimming the stable." That does not make a good basis to start a relationship. You are going to have to show enthusiasm for the relationship and that means ONE ON ONE only. If you expect to develop and maintain a stable relationship, then any more than ONE girl in the stable will have YOU lying, first to yourself and then to the very special girl.

Hate to quote a movie, but "do, or do not, there is no try."

If maintaining a reduced stable is the better option for you then forget about lies and relationships. Just enjoy the bountiful harvest LOS provides.

Thanks for all the great replies bm's. The result of my generalisation brought in some left field comments that I hadn't even thought of. The tg in question is not all sweet mouth, and that makes her more believable to me. That story will run for longer.
To get to the point of my title for this post:
As I said, yesterday it was time to try a new one; one I'd lined up allready actually.
Not a bg, and that's all I'm saying.

This MUST be such a huge LIE that why would any tg even bother to say it?

I had to ask her why: her boy friend left her after a bad child birth thing left her not able to have sex for several months. This actually happened to my second wife; so could be true; I guess. Then said she'd not wanted sex after all the pain and break up; or some thing like that.
She also has the "only been here from Issan 2 months" thing going. That in itself is almost a classic, in so far as it's probably true; but if it aint.....

So, in a nut-shell; why would any tg bother to tell a farang she's only known a few days that he's just been her first in 10 months.

As a result of the last couple of days, I've decided that it doesn't matter what any of them tell me now; I won't be able to believe it!!
Seems a bit sad in some ways-- we are all as much damaged goods as each other.

Good question, I doubt there is any way to find out if a chick is bullshiting or not if she among the lies sneak a bit of truth as well. I would never thought it would happen to me but I was played as well hahaha nevertheless it was fun and at the moment I see it as the first half of the game, if there will be a second period it memains to be seen. I still really don't get how a guy can be a player...? I get that the absolute vast majority of the chicks are fishing for several sponsors and that makes them players, how we farangs play??

Anyway, some liars may be almost impossible to spot as many are not just street smart but also intelligent. Personally I never believe the words and relay only on the actions even so I was to be played since for every word comming from her sweet little mouth there was an action backing up the words. The "I love you" didn't come right away, she was able to discuss and explain to me in order to ease every single one of my doubts and even after months she remembered every single thing we did and said to each other from the first night which she used as assuring arguments to gain more trust. I really must handle it to her that the whole strategy she used was simply brilliant and I should also add in my favour that my technique to get her to admit the truth was maybe even more brilliant. So simple yet so effective.
