It all depends how you look at it.

My message is go in with your eyes open not tainted by fairytale dream to be with bombshell GF or prince charming. Resolve your issues first so not to undermine the relationship. Don't rely on the other person as your emotional cruch, unless he/she are prepare to be there for you, else it may be doomed from the start.

Some play the phone game so well. Those times when she's asking another guy on the other end of the cellphone why they haven't come to the MP while she's with you. The conversation with her regs that she's bored, the place is dead, come see me... Or you messing with another dancer while she is at work? The games we play... Is the other person for real? Or just out to make a buck? Only the two people involved will know.

Kudos to you, Milehigh.

I'd agree that MOST in the industry are probably just putting on a good show because, let's face it, that's what you're paying them for.

But for those who say that it's definitely just about the money simply generalize too much. Some of these women are good people who just happen to enjoy what they do. Others are women who don't enjoy what they do, but fantasize about finding the right guy to get out. And yes, most probably just think all of the guys are suckers.

Back in my MP days, I visited a place up near the DVP. The attendant was giving me a massage and let me touch her at the same time. She liked my touch enough that she started making out with me. We played with each other for the 40 minutes and when it was done, insisted that I not pay. She gave me her home number and wanted me to go over to her place that night to take it all the way. Even when I tried to pay, she said it would greatly cheapen what we had just shared. And she was no rookie - she managed the place and had been working there for years.

While nothing ever came from it, the point is: these women are not robots, although most do act like it. It IS possible that this girl really likes you.

I think a good measure would be: are you a popular guy with attractive, young ladies when you're not paying? If so, it's conceivable that these girls do really like you. But if you're twice their age, or generally not an attractive dude, then it's EXTREMELY likely that you're being played (although there's always the exception).

My end advice would be: If you're interested, simply ask her. Ya, you'll probably be disappointed, but at least then you'll know and can make an informed decision about what it is that you'd like to do moving forward.

I can certainly respect your view on how some hobbyists should proceed with caution when dealing with an MPA. I think its neccessary as there are certainly your scam artists out there. Its wise advice. But there are also people out there who get taken by surprise when something good happens and dont' know what to do. There are certainly your SP, MPA's roles ete and for those in the industry the healthiest thing for them to do is to never forget that role, and not take home any mental/emotional baggage that this type of job can bring. But they're still people. And life can be unpredictable at times. For those who understand that, I just want to let you know that there are those in the community who are not unsympathetic.

I don't know if this pretains to the original post. But I was given a a proposal once, said she'd be my girlfriend only if I paid her a thousand bucks. We both took it in stride, talked about it and entertained a few humorous suggestions. I am so close in sealing the agreement. Very lovely girl and I do have an attraction for her. My point is that I think too many guys wrap themselves up in their own ego of whether or not the girl has true feelings for them. After you have moved on from any type of relationship in life, it becomes only a perception of what once was the past (or a memory), which can be altered and in effect rewritten by the person holding that memory. Even if you are a stud, and can get a MP on your personal attributes rather than your financial, at some point looking back and with the aging process as it is, that won't be real for you anymore but rather just a memory of what once was possible or real for you in the past gone by. So instead of allowing your ego to dictate your happiness and perception of life for you, my suggestion would be to follow a path that makes you happy in the moment without trying to internalize whether or not another person's feelings are real for you.



A broken heart, while real in its effects on you, is just a perception of a past event and how you choose to frame it within your own current reality.

Guys, like yourself, I'm just here to have a good time as well. I may not be as focused on the "technicals" as some of you. I rather focus on that GFE.

But I'll give Kkarn credit...he certainly reminded me the repercussoins of dating someone in the industry. And I'm not stating MPA's are bad people, but yes, there are things you have to accept that are different from dating someone not in the industry.
