I am speculating, I have not heard anything directly from an SW, but I do hear stories in DMs from other members who are close to SWs. My guess is that SWs over the course of a year will mostly have mundane experiences, a few good ones, a few bad ones, become spa friends with a few, have disagreements with a few, have a more special relationship with at least one, and have a serious problem with at least one. And hopefully for them the good outweighs the bad, and they develop the skills to navigate uncomfortable and precarious situations, and the "radar" to see when trouble is near.
I drove a taxi for a couple of summers when I was in University. I quickly developed a skill set where I could tell just by the way a person got into the cab and closed the door how much tip I was going to get, whether the person wanted to be quiet, talk with me or talk at me, and if I was going to have trouble with them. Waiters also acquire the same skills, so I bet SWs do as well.
