Favorite soi and why

so far i like soi lion the most for the bars and dancing girls followed by soi seadragon

Haven't been there for a year, but Mai Chob says only a few bars open near the front. I thought they were going to make it a throughfare to SD as well... else it's just a big white elephant now... used to have some good concerts upstairs in there too...

always interested in how you guys get around, like from home(la la) to offshore is a bit of a travel and then with bangla thrown its not a short bike ride and not a cheap taxi ride.
there are tons of bars at home that i can drink at, but i pretty much stay within walking distance, so i know i can go home whenever i feel like it, don't have to rely on taxi or someone else to get home,
just interested why go to offshore just for a drink or to catch up.

Soi Eric music dident notice to busy having a good time , beach what beach , turned myself from a early morning riser {nah not that} to a late night crawler, dont know how i got myself up those stairs some mornings, you only get one guess which hotel,no complaints it is a great place.

I enjoying drinking in both Soi Crocodile and Soi Lion, both places play some great Music, and I enjoying watching the "Ladies" dance in both.

Got a mate that owns Lilly's Bar in OTOP and had a night there as well as a couple more at others around there a few weeks back... I went to watch the English foootball... Was'nt too busy at the bars but still ok... still people around considering it was low season... I think its good to go for a quiet couple with mates or your girl before you hit bangla, you can speak to each other and have a conversation with getting hassled for drinks and not too noisy etc..

Yeah the OTOP ones are good for a few quiet beers, The 5!5! Bar and Booty Bar were pretty friendly.

Taxi or Tuk Tuk into Nanai Road 300bht, between a few, less than nothing almost, motocy or mates lift down to Bangla, jacksees pony around the sois or town and then tuk tuk back home 3 or 400bht, or into Lala high street if not been trying hard enough and need one for the road, then options of either a lift from someone less drunk than you or you, if your the least drunk, or one of the bg's takes pity on the drunken wretch in the corner and takes me home!!.

Went to Kata today...lots more tourists around.
Same same the Otop Bars, all getting busier with shoppers.
A mate Dave has the Quokka Bar there, says it makes as much as The Billabong Bar on San Sabai for much less overheads...
We fled to Sea Dragon in the pouring rain last night, and except for the echo, the roof proved its worth , and the place was moderately busy.
Nearly every middle bar was occupied, but only 2 upstairs have been taken up...fcuked if I know how the upstairs ones will make a buck.
The cacaphony I was hoping for is no more...SD has reverted to a dj and a centralized sound system which was probably playing more Issan music than most tourists would like.
The leaks seemed to be fixed, god knows how wet Gonzo or Eric was last night.....

It was drenched from Songkran today, and the floor is as slippery as any other, including Erics, when wet...

Look out for the open air bar (there is an indoor section as well) on the same side as Christins, between Christins & Jung Ceylon, alot of people miss it.
