Ok everyone I am personally a no body but i do have a question and would love peoples insight on this matter I loved giving people massages because they always felt revived and better afterwords everyone loves my massages but they keep asking for them lately after i give one now i just feel really weak and tired mostly from giving them to someone in particular she is always in severe pain and asking me to give her a massage she feels better but i basically pass out beside her everytime probably because its the end of the day already but still. I am a very hot person at times too people are always sitting right up next to me when its cold and I become cold as well then I usually just visualize fire and i warm right back up but still. i only mentioned this part because my hands get really hot when i give massages my hands got so hot one time that according to my sister i burned her arm cause i grabbed her arm is that normal?? again like i said I am a nobody and people will probably just think of me as ignorant or something...

First of all you aren't a nobody. You sound like you are a very caring person who has given too much of themself to others, without putting back in. I used to be able to give and give and give, but now I have to honor myself, give my self permission to refill my own well and have personal time. I suggest you do the same too.

For the hot hands, I have hot hands, always have. People think I'm using hot stones on them, but it's just me. As for burning your sister, unless I actually saw a burn mark, I think she was just exaggerating. I wouldn't worry about it.

For the person always in pain, instead of exhausting yourself at the end of the day, look into stretching routines, yoga to help them help themselves. (My first instinct that this is a person you know well). It is hard watching a loved one in pain, but there are times you have to say I have nothing to give, and they need to learn to honor that, especially at the end of a long day. It is one of the hardest lessons, but one you need to learn or risk resentment later. (a personal experience) Or put a time limit and focus on an area or two if you feel you *should* do something. I'd also teach her some self-massage technique with a tennis ball and the wall, floor, bed, etc.

For you personally, I would look into your energy and stress levels, those could leave you feeling weak and tired. Ask a medical professional about your adrenal glands and eat foods that feed your adrenals. Limit massageplanetfine & sugar, they just mask the problem. You may crash a little harder at the end of the day, but eventually you'll begin to feel better. Without knowing your situation better that's about all the advice I can give (and it's a little out of my scope of practice, but it's what I'm doing for what it's worth). I'd also look into yoga, tai chi or other energy practices to help you recover your energy.

I hope that others have some good advice for you too.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, isnt it called transference?

Its basically you are letting these people "suck"your energy out of you. Ground yourself before a massage,ANY MASSAGE.

Certainly sounds like transference...Some folks are also like energy vampires, draining your energy like a sponge. It is never good to allow anyone to drain you to that extent. Also, if you really aren't taking care of your own need for rest, food, supplements etc it only becomes worse. You may need to be taking some good trace mineral support and or need more iron in your diet - Generally speaking Floradix is a good source as it doesn't bind up the intestinal tract.

Transference, yes, I agree. Also, if your body mechanics are bad, that can be exhausting. But because of the heat of your hands, I'd tend to think it's mostly transference.

Since you understand visualization, before every massage, visualize a big, sticky spiderweb in a door way, then walk through the door way. Visualize the spiderweb covering your entire body. It is flexible, so you can still work through it, but strong, so it doesn't tear. Then when people try to "give" you their STUFF, it will stick to the spiderweb.

Then after each session, take the spider web off, and throw it away. Go through the actual motions of doing that, like you were really doing it. You will feel silly, but it will help a lot. You might also need to build a flexible shield around yourself, like a strong bubble, to keep people from sucking your energy.

But make sure you are using good body mechanics, too. Straight, neutral joints, lunge, horse stance, etc. Very important!
