PY read the op's post, he explains what he intends to do, day and night and you come up with 10k as a minimum. This sum is clearly ridiculous, only guys who want or need to show off, buying loads of LD's, ringing the bell and then they'd have to stay out until dawn can average 10k per day as a minimum and then they'd find it hard to maintain this level.

Wild goose, you can get away with 3500 per day and have a good time. If you can increase this to 5k per day it would give you a better margin incase things get a little out of hand.

WG, there are several things you can do to squeeze a little more from your budget, go with the girl ST on one night LT on another, saves you 1000 bht from your budget, take a free lancer or arrange to meet the girl after work, saves 500 bht bar fine. Find a girl you like and want to stay with for a few days, agree a reduced figure for 4 or 5 days together.

Your budget shows you have thought about it, know most of the costs and I'm sure will have a great time.

Oh another tip, look out for the big spenders and follow them from bar to bar, save on buying your own drinks, just lap up all the free ones from their bell ringing antics!!! ah just thought of another, look for bars with balloons outside, saves on food costs!! beggar at this rate you can afford to come here for free!!

i too would probably drop 10k on a night out. Norfolk looks bonkers, the epicentre of fun.

I'd budget for the upper figure but aim to be around the lower figure on say 50% of the days. If you're taking girls LT I'm sure you'll occasionally get roped into buying them a meal with a drink.
Do you find Bangkok cheaper than this? I find Phuket prices pretty reasonable, other than the evil tuktuk drivers of course

well if you can take a few days here and there when you don't drink or take a gal you could get by on the lower figures......sometimes you may do 6-8k on a big one and others may be quiet and much lower....as long as you are prepared for that you will get by

Wttb wildwildgoose and have a nice trip. You can do it for 3,000 b per day but maybe a few days will be very quiet and nothing wrong with that. Spending 10,000 per day is just ridiculous and must include these rubber lobsters from the beachroad overpriced restaurants every single day. Just eat thaifood - as you like - for about 100 b evening and eat at a foodstall for lunch.

Like some people say, 3,000 per day is okay in BKK or Patts but Patong are becoming like the mentioned restaurants: Overpriced ...

imho,wildwildgoose setting a budget and sticking to it is great if you can do it..but where is the fun in that..as for me in five days ill be in patong for the fourth time in
18 months,and i dont know how much ill need exactly.bring more .expect the unexpected,like beautiful ladies ,crazy ladies ,great bars /clubs.

Spend crazy nights with lots of fun, booze & girls and start to feel my age the day after...so then i decide to grab only a couple of drinks on bangla (and avoid the sois because the flesh is weak), in U2 bar or something similar, watch a football game, get a bite and head home early to go wild again the next night.
