I don't know why paying up front is even discussed anymore. So sick of that. If one intends not to rip off a lady, then why is it an issue to pay upfront? Maybe I should start a new thread as this thread is about something else but my point is that it should not even be discussed. And then idiots out there compare it to a restaurant ?!?!?!?! I'd RATHER pay upfront and then forget about it.

I'll just keep it simple. Good clients need to communicate their requests clearly to masseuse. It's all about mutual respect. If provider does not comply, no need to ever repeat again. Most smart providers with a good head for business, find ways to accommodate a client that they also appreciate. I specifically ask my favourite masseuses to send me a text for times when they are less busy, and I don't have any interruption problems. Problems may crop up when visiting a new therapist, and clients need to communicate displeasure. That's all.

The discussion regarding tips would be an interesting one. Unfortunately tips have become something that is often simply assumed as due. This is particularly evident in the restaurant trade where point of sale devices are now preprogrammed with percentage amounts. Regardless of quality of service the server feels they are due a gratitude

I have suffered thru some massages where I probably should have been paid for pain and suffering, on the other end of the spectrum I have experienced some that made me think I had died and was in heaven. Needless to say the tip amounts varied from zero to substantial. The same applies for HE, a poor attempt warrants only the quoted rate. Tips in any service sector are a gratuity meant to thank someone for providing service above the minimum paid for. Good service providers in any sector realize this and are generally compensated well. Unfortunately there are still a few cheap screws who will not get off their wallet's and show gratitude for good service, in the long run too many of these simply discourage the great service providers from busting their humps.

I too would love some clarity on tipping. Specifically with regard to extras.
A few RMT’s have been vary clear before anything too intimate starts what they are expecting for compensation, yet I’ve visited at least 3 different places with a couple masseuses each that ask if they should continue, but give no indication of compensation.
In these cases I evaluate the experience and tip based on this but without any sort of benchmark with these ladies, I cannot tell if that was deemed acceptable or even appreciated.
I implore those masseuses reading this to be more up front. I don’t enter these situations with some misguided sense that they are really enjoying the experience as much as they let on or even as much as I might. This is a business and even if it is a bit clandestine, I’m more than happy to discuss price and options and even pay in advance.
Point is if I pay in advance and am not satisfied with the experience, I won’t be back. No bickering, flipping out in the forum, or causing a scene. I’ve had buyers remorse enough in multiple business transactions to know, that when it happens it was likely due to poor communication from us both, lack of education on my part, or in many cases a Red Flag I should have recognized and listened to.
Ladies, be up front and honest. Gentlemen, be clear about what you want and let the lady know if things aren’t as sold.

I too, just do not go back if service poor. I agree on clarity upfront as to what one is expecting from a session and cost for same BUT It SHOULD be a given, that LALA will not do a one handed massage while texting LULU in the next room or even yelling at her through the paper thin walls.

As far as TIPS go, I personally hate the concept. I am not cheap and will pay a fair penny for quality service or product but why should I pay on top of that just because their employer (as in restaurants) does not pay them properly. How is it MY fault that your BOSS is cheap. I am not the cheap one, HE/SHE is.
NOW...If someone goes above and beyond as part of the transaction, yes, you TIP. IE, I bought a big item and have trouble getting it into my car/truck. They help. I tip. That simple. If getting it to my vehicle is part of the price and you PAY for it, why would you tip??? They did what you paid for, nothing more.
Don't get me started on this tip thing lol.

There is a belief that TIP was an acronym for 'To Insure Promptness' (although Ensure would be the correct term). So if waitress has a section with 10 tables and you are getting the same service as the other 9, how is that tip worthy? Now if you tell her you have a flight to catch, for example, and you get more prompt service that the others, Yes, she is going above and beyond so you tip. Tips should only be for getting MORE than what you paid for, not getting what you paid for lol. The concept makes no sense.

Further more, you and I go to a bar. WE both have one drink. I get a pop for $2, you get a beer for $5. Why do you tip 50 cents (using 10% for simplicity) and I only 20 cents when she made pretty much, if not exactly, the same effort to bring both of us our drinks. NOW, you are not tipping on SERVICE, you are tipping on COST. Waitresses/waiters will argue till they are blue in the face that they do not expect a tip but I know enough and have heard enough of them over many years to know that they DO expect a tip REGARDLESS of the service.

I ask the price for the service I want. If the price is high I tip less. If the price is average I tip based on the enthusiasm and delivery.

I would bet my tips for the good ones would typically be more than most would pay. Ultimately I have been given superb service beyond what I have read in reviews. But that is just how I float.

Maybe I am getting the same as everyone else, but paying more. My opinion on the ladies who provide the services they do is that we are fortunate to have the privilege of being entertained by beautiful women, who quite frankly we would never likely get a chance with in every day life.

So off I go, looking for and enjoying them for what they provide.

The problem is the “tip culture” of the last 20 years, forewhich has ruined what a tip actually means. The service or specifically food/drink retail industry is most to blame.
As more and more people started making more and more money the amount of expendable cash added to the free wheeling that encouraged tipping. Once the business owners noticed their wait staff making more and more money they realized they were making an unacceptable amount more than the rest of the restaurant.
Then came the idea that wait staff would share tips, but this wasn’t enough, instead they reduced wages and compensated with tips to all staff including the back of the house. Sure this encouraged better service and quality of service but built a culture of tipping.
Now everyone expects a tip for doing their job. Even lately I see younger people with a new sense of entitlement expecting reduced tips for reduced quality of service. “If I do 90% today I should get 90% of the Tip that I get when I do 100%”. Problem is more often then not we accommodate this and provide a tip for 90% service.
Stop the trend! Maybe we should start are own social uprising and say “No More”!!!

Not an issue if done in the room. Is only an issue in a "public" place, like the lobby etc.

'WHO KNOWS' is not saying there would have been other similar pics but it does make one wonder. Take ‘er easy big shooter. My comments were meant to be facetious, and maybe mixed with a few to many beers . I have provided reviews of every experience, albeit well reviewed ladies but being new to this I prefer to spend my money with some certainty of value. Once that list dries up I’ll be more than happy to TOFTT.

Sorry to derail this , but I am seeking intel.
Did anyone hear of anything happening to "Love 2Massage"?
I had an appointment booked with her and when I arrived there was a "Closed" sign on her business door that stated she would be returning at the time I had booked the appointment. I waited 20 -25 minutes past that time and no sign of her. I sent a text, no response and when I call the number provided to me by her and that is listed on her website the message was from the service provider stating that the number was not in service. Same thing today. Also sent her a private message on this board and no response there either
I had booked the appointment 1 day previous and everything seemed fine.
I hope all is well with her.

Hopefully all is well with her. However, when she mentioned that she would soon be insisting on checking for government issued ID, before issuing receipts, I had a chuckle. Really? How many people ask for receipts in other people's names or fictitious names? For what purpose? Also, most small businesses have pathetic document control and privacy management practices (including many doctor's offices). I don't think there will be a lineup at her door even if she re-opens. But all the best, regardless of the facts.
