You are thinking like a westerner, what is important to you is not the same for Thai people and in this case BG's

This is general but TG order of priorities are

1. Security for family
2. Security for self
3. Romance & love & boyfriend / husband

Age is really not so important to them, e.g. someone in their 30's (or more) is looked upon as being more wise, more prepared to settle down and take care and not so old that cannot have a good time. So in essence it normal for a TG in her early / mid 20's to have BF in his 30's.

Some people say that BG think no further than their next 500-1000 baht, but its not my experience they are always thinking about mama & papa 1st and everything else 2nd

Im not saying you cant have a relationship with a TG if you're in your 20's, it depends on you and her and how you click and whether she views you as long term material, i.e. are you mature enough & stupid enough to get involved????

As for ST or GFE say 1 day to 2 weeks, if thats what you want and BG wants then it really doesnt matter what age you are, its all about screw as much money as possible

In response to allybabba's question about age or looks mattering,

I have only been to Patong once and will be returning this August with a freind of mine but from my time spent there it definitely seemed that the bg's had a preference for younger age and better looks. Of course at the end of the day they want a barfine regardless, but it seemed to me they definitely would prefer a fit mid 20's guy to a 40 year old slob. And if you are American(which I am), you are like gold. Because we have a reputation for tipping heavy, which is true. Trust me, when I was there that secret bg network of communication spread like wild fire and I was a hot commodity. I felt like I was Brad Pitt or something.

Just my observation.

Ive only been to bangkok and patong on my trips, and from what I observed, it seems like it is more business-like in bangkok than in patong. What I mean by that is, in bangkok, i notice a big difference in looks in the farang and bg. It seems that a bg in bangkok will go with anyone who gives her money. In patong, it seems like the looks of farang-bg are a little more equal. It almost seems like hooking up, like in farangland. I dont see nearly as many strange matchups in patong as I do in bangkok. just my observation
