how do i introduce two adult female leopard geckos?

I have introduced my two adult female geckos after a month of quarantine on nuetral territory...our couch...several times with no problems. On my first attempt to move the newer girl into the larger 20 gal L tank with all her hides and pleny of food and water, she crawled into the other's 3-in-1 hide with her and the "older" girl gave her a little nibble. I immediately took the "new" girl out and planned to try at a later time. The "older" girl is gravid and about to lay her third clutch, which she does in that hide. I don't know if that little nibble was normal and I should have watched for a little longer since it did not seem to be very aggressive and did not even seem to bother the other. I just really hope it will work out and am hoping for any tips from anyone who has successfully moved two or more females in together ...Thanks!

If you really absolutely have to keep them together (which you don't) just put one next to the other. Observe their actions towards each other. If they become aggressive, then you should not keep them together, even if you think they'll "get over it." I know females can be kept together, but I don't see any good reason to do so. It won't make them any happier to have a "buddy."

I disagree with rachel, harems are quite common and safe with leo's. I had 4 females and a male together in a cage for over 17 years... the only thing that was neccessary was to get more females ( started with just 2) because the male would want to coppulate them to death. He never succeeded because 4 holes are better than 2.
Granted my first 3 "grew up" together, and were always in the same cage, the two introduced females had no problem fitting in. I just made sure they all had hides where they could go, and plenty of food and water available. leos are quite tolerant of eachother.

The only thing you do need to worry about is quarantine protocols, you dont want to infect your old pets with a new one, just because you are lazy. But that is common practice, look it up if you are unsure what to do.

Put them in neutral territory, but chances are one will be aggressive or they will both be so it's not a good idea to keep them together. Let them meet outside the cage and keep water squirter with you just in case. Then put them in the cage making sure they both have a place to hide. Chances are one or both will be aggressive and I wouldn't suggest it
