How much money i must have in my pocket when i am going to gogo bars-massage parlors?

I spent 150 000bath/two moths this summer...Didnt live high-life but didnt stay home every night either..As Bono say, you cant get drunk every night when you stay long time there.
Spend one week in Bangkok and one week in Samui, and then 6 weeks in Patong. Rented an apartment, and recomend that if you stay one month or longer. Could be worth it if you stay 3 weeks also.. I payed 5500bath/month...

What? No way would I be able to manage on that amount of money for 2 months, I might get away with that for 1month if I sat in a few of the nights, But there's no way I would be able to survive on that for 2 months especially going out partying all the time. Are you serious?

Ps: I know you dont go with the BGs so I guess about E600 of my budget would go to them.

I spent 1500 euro last time I went to thailand mainly because I was a total idiot with my money and will be more wise this time but I did party hard and only had a few quiet nights due to my body not been able to drink more buckets of whiskey and even then when I was sitting in I would purchase weed Always had a motorbike on rent too.

But yeah I dont do BG's I bring sand to the beach (or coal to newcastle as it was put to me before) So I guess that would account for alot of it!!

I booked all my accomadation and travel wth TAT last time and I found them to be excellent and the price was also good.

Do any of you guys use TAT?

So I guess I didnt do to bad with the flights then as ill be flying to amsterdam before I fly to bkk/hkt.

By the way who did you fly with? Ill be flying with china airlines again(I didnt look like it for a while but its back on).

On this tour im going to try my best to stick to 5000bt a day(Not including hotel) Well I have not got much of a choice this time because the funds will be a little tighter than last time but ill make the most of it

I mean TAT in Thailand when I arrive there, they are really really good.

As for flights I book in abbey travel on abbey st!!, I just missed out on the flights for 537 but I got flights for 800(2-3month return) euro and then I book my first few nights in bangkok online then while im in Bangkok I go visit TAT..there are a few around but the one I am familiar with is beside the trainstation.

Last time I had everything planned down to the day but id like to be more flexible this stay so I wont be booking the whole duration via TAT

I think most BMs like myself book both hotel & air ticket from internet using favoured websites or search engines such as google.Its usually better than using a travel agent as they dont have all the hotels on their books.Also before booking a hotel,if its not been mentioned before in the accommodation section here,you can ask a question about it ie location/quality/guest policy and someone here probably has the answer.That way expensive mistakes can be avoided.

From BKK I bought a ticket from Phuket Air on internet for 40 euro's. On my way back from Phuket I flew Nok air for 20 euro's. It was best to book the tickets seperately, as they added about 200 euro's extra if I would of booked Amsterdam - Phuket.

I have researched via google and other sites..just out of interest I noted all of the resorts I had visited on my last journey and went to book them online seperately and it was really expensive compared to the TAT price not to mention boats, buses, great service

Really loved the mandarin hotel in bangkok close to MBK shopping centre, will deffiently be staying there when I arrive !!

When you say TAT? Do you mean your local travel agents because thats what I done the last time and it cost me 1050euros for 10nights and I ended up staying in a hotel that was not guest friendly but it was a lovely hotel(seaview patong which was unfortunatly destroyed in tsunami hope all staff are ok :sad: ) So I then ended up staying most of my time in the c&n which I booked 10nights for 600bt because it was cheaper than paying the joiner in the other hotel which would have been 1200bt a night to bring a girl back to mg:.

So this time I booked my flights on the internet but the place I booked them through happens to be clubtravel in abbey st(city centre), And I ended up paying 850euros for the flights but this time for a month return, How about you did you find tickets cheaper than that and if so where did you book them and with who are you flying with?

Also I have booked the hotels on the internet for when I go this time, I have decided to stay in the,
C&N in patong(finally) at 800bt.(Double room)
Samui Lagoon bay at 1600bt (Garden Bungalow)
Sandy Springs hotel at 1250bt(Delexe seaview)
Majestic Suites(BKK) at 1500bt(Double Superior)
Can anyone get these hotels cheaper than this?

And the benefits of doing this is that I know all of them will be guest friendly hotels which most of come highly recomended but for you I guess its a little different because you dont need to worry about whether they are guest friendly or not. But I would still like to know if you can get the flights cheaper than that through TAT?

I try to stick to 100 euro's (5000 baht) a day and my flight from Amsterdam in december, was about the same price as you paid for your trip now.

P.S. At least this time you won't be staying in 2 hotels at the same time, so guess you made some savings there allready

My God. The amount of money i spent on my last visit was really stupid. Not including flights or hotel's, I spent £2500 just on the piss, food and presents for friends. Thats E3540 (according to the currency converter) in two weeks. And some of those days i didn't spend much at all, less than 500b, due to me being ill or it being the Kings Birthday. So im not even going to work out the daily amount of baht spent on 10 days or so that i did go out and drink.

Lucky I paid for my flights and hotel seperatly (£500 flights, 1000b per night hotel), otherwise i would of run out of money well before the final day.

When im back next time, i think i shall be leaving my atm card at the hotels safe alot more than last time.

Yeah I was there for the kings birthday or was it the queen? hehe.

You really do need to watch it with the ATM card not only because you spend alot but I got charged 3.30 everytime I used the fecking thing.

Im going to try be really wise with my money this time round.

I went to a disco in London called Tramp with a friend. You have to be a member to get in and also cannot buy drinks unless you are a member. We had an indifferent night and my share of the drinks was £160.

I went to the love bar in Patong. I drank, many board members drank, I rang the bell, many many lady drinks. The bill... £35.

I went to the Mai Thai Bar in Patong. Great fun. Lots of drinks and left at 04:00am on Christmas eve. Cost - £25.

Patong wins everytime.

Yeah very true!!!

But i remember one night at the Mai Thai bar when my first round came to nearly 4000 baht, thats about £55. And there was a further 2 rounds at the Mai Thai, before i have vague memorys of going to other bars, with 2 of Nicke's workers at least!!!! What makes it worse, is that this was not a unique report of a night out in los with me. :bangin: So if your a generous, happy drunk like me. Patong can cost as much as a night out in London, only the people are more friendly in Los!!! :love2:

So, take my advice and leave your atm at the hotel, and only bring the money needed for that one night. Any extra money on you, say for for instance, for suits you were going to buy, leave in the safty box at the hotel. Because if u are like me, very generous after say 6 singhas, you tend not to care about the 10 000 baht in your wallet which has been allocated for the suits which need collecting!!!! :bangin: :bangin: :bangin:

Oh well........ you live and you learn!!!!!!!! :cheers:
