my last visit i had spend a lot of time here, did anyone of you ever went to Kamala for a night out? I can truly recommend this place if you want to escape Patong sometimes!

The Owner of that place is a great guy and funny he likes a good drink himself and makes everyone welcome .

The Girls in that Bar are very pretty

So I also say if you want to escape the hassle of Patong try Kamala !!

Kamala has around 30 bars spread around the Village
All the bars have girls !!

Infact the more times I drive through kamala it is getting more and more like Patong everyday .

In 2 more years Kamala will be the 2nd Patong

But will never come close to bangla road or SOI ERIC

Many of us who live near Kamala hope that it doesn't ever become like Patong. The bars are fun to drop by for a drink but most of us wouldn't want to live near one, unless you want loud rock music playing in the neighbourhood all night. My neighbours are already complaining to the local council about the two or three little bars across from the school .

Looks like a nice place. Might make a change to chill out in Kamala and just head down to Patong once in a while. Any members have any information on guest friendly hotels?

There is one great hotel near the beach, but i forgot the name... maybe someone can help?

It's almost next to the 'courmet' restaurant owned by a freaked out prob. Swedish guy. the hotel is next to a small bar... so you always be 'welcomed' by the girls when u enter.

The hotel has big, clean rooms with a big balcony... TV, AC, Fridge... just everything you will need... only 350b/night

The name of the hotel is Benjamin.

350bt for groundfloor and about 500bth topfloor with great seaview.
For highseason a bit more, but they are inclined to bargain with you,
especially if you book for a longer time.
Completely guestfriendly.

Used to rent a 125cc bike there for 100bth a day.
The girl at the desk tried to sell me a room and said I could get a girl with that.... ...Nah , she was probalby just putting me on

Wow ! I know that lady in front of the pic. I think her name is Nuht. The place is Kamala Beergarden, located at the main street near Rim Klong. I did stay close that bar for four weeks in Feb 03. The owner is a nice man from Belgium, I think his name is Rudy. I dont remember all the names, it was to much Mekong-Coke. I will soon be there again ( 4 weeks in Feb 04 ) I dont know where to stay this time. I mailed to Hotel Benjamin, but no answer yet. Any tips, where to stay ?

6 km north of Patong. 200 bath with Tuc-Tuc. The beach is very nice. If you want more of everything, just go to Patong

Hi Michel. I know all ladies in that bar, but cant remember the name off them.Is On Nuts best friend ? I remember Nut had a close friend who lived in same place as Nut. I have mailed to Benjamin for the rate of a room four weeks includen a bike for the same time, but no answer yet. I´ts only ten days left, then I will be there So I can ask them face to face soon.
