I went there a little while ago. I got a 20 something who's a little nerdy but pretty fit massage therapist. She also spoke excellent English. The massage started out with a bit of TU-NA, and it was actually pretty good. A little bit of elbow but she did it in a way that helped more then hurt. Then the lights turned down and I was turned over. I was pretty wound up! But I get told "We don't offer extra service here" after asking about it....They are probably keeping their standing with the Insurance Companies good. I felt pretty good the next couple of days which tells me she did a good job hitting my chronically sore spots. I will probably go back in a few weeks.

Yep....she is one of my favorites. Accidentally left review on new Rosewater location thread. She definitely doesn't give h.e.'s and likely never will. I thought the glasses were sexy. As far as the other ladies go....I don't know. My first visit, I was greeted by the receptionist from J&j's/Meridian. She came in before my massage with Mia/Mya to make sure I was draped. I give my massage an 8 1/2 out 10 purple and gold hearts. If my stomach was massaged, I would have given 9 1/2. If my groin and/or pelvic muscle was massaged, it would be 10/10. 7 1/2 /10 for English skills, but she was farely quiet....so maybe it's better.

A pretty, 30ish, slender, maskless, firmly athletic girl in yoga pants and midriff revealing top that highlights a firm flat tummy. She had me at ‘do you want a massage?’.

Her technique is quite different. If there is a slow food and coffee movement, then she is starting her own slow massage movement. I’m not sure what to think at first. So tell myself to go with the flow and relax into this ‘slower’ rhythm. Her hands are warm and soft. She’s making ample use of forearms and some elbows but it’s not uncomfortable. Eventually a small amount of arm stretching begins which unfortunately isn’t feeling particularly effective.

Then she transition to my lower half. Ample stimulation starts, builds in intensity, and drives this overwhelming desire to flip. A very enjoyable session and its lasted full time.

Now, if they would just add showers to the rooms.

nothing about Lomi Lomi says legit spa to me - the outside window decor, from when you enter to go to a room. we all know what actual massage and wellness places look like. this place has dark lighting and multi-color leds etc. and the massage beds lay a towel at the end, no sheet, so very typical asian spa and typical of every semi-legit style place we all review.

but they seem to keep up this guise of legit, of not wanting reviews or "don't tell anyone" type convos with the lady. I meant to post something sooner but was unsure of what to post. i've been debating going back for a whole week.

I have been told that Mia isn't there anymore.

I wish I would have got her cell number, like I was tempted to. This the first place in Edmonton I have seen her, and Lomi Lomi hasn't been open very long.

This may confirm my theory about new semi legit asian studios: get some young twenty something, slim, pretty girls that may or may not have thorough massage training, draw in some horny old men searching for the Holy Grail of Hard-On Releasing Hotties. Keep searching, flying in, or stealing the 40 year old plus talent, and....if the young ones don't want to join the Peter Pipers' pumping penis parties, then send them packing.

....or Mia switched names, and decided to play ball. Which...I am okay with....if she wasn't pressured to.

There are plenty of customers like me...who just need Tender Tuina, or other types of touching.

Based on the review, probably not. The lady seemed to be dishonest about what she was offering.

The "Mia" that I made regular conversations seemed to be pretty straightforward...and perhaps staying legit.

But, my dm Intel leads me to believe, she may still be at Lomi Lomi, just using the name Yomi with some clients, and possibly she didn't actually leave, just her use of the name Mia.

Not sure if Mia is Yomi as I didnt know Mia prior. Yomi definitely has what I like dialed in however and top shelf.

As far as I can tell the lineup has stayed somewhat consistent lately. Yomi, LIsa, Jessica and Ella and no complaints about any of them.

Meridian/JJ is still operating, I still see their ads on Kijiji. Just have a new manager now I guess

I think Lomi Lomi has made a point of looking and seeming different than Strathcona. And to my experience it is. Younger ladies, flashy lights, more forward in their communication. I think they are fine.
My first time with Yomi was unique and great and i'm gonna spare the details here so we don't ruin things.

Sounds like you are pretty focused on Lomi Lomi. 6 of 7 posts searching for info. And 1st post was just a hack off old posts. Mind you, no criticism here, several of the massageluvving posts in past 2 years appear to be summaries of old information so they can pm others for details

I had an one-hour massage session with Yomi a couple of weeks ago. She is quite young (my guess is ~ 25) and friendly. Has some nice curves and is on the tall side for a Chinese girl. Hard to tell of her exact facial features as she had a mask on all the time. I would say she is also pretty but this is just a guess based on what facial features I can see. Good English and able to carry a nice conversation. Decent massage skills - I asked for medium pressure and she did a fine job with it. For massage, I would give her a 7/10. The room is spacious but I think they can improve the setup and add some chairs or a coat rack, so the customer can put away the winter coat and clothing. The facility in my opinion is average in terms of renovation, decor, and layout but is perhaps sufficient to start with. No hint of extra and I did not ask for any as this was my first massage with her. However I did have an undraped massage and she was totally fine with it. So I think there might be potential for more, especially if you are repeat customers. Overall an above average massage experience. May try again during Christmas break.

Thank you for the encouragement! I text their 780 number beforehand and was quoted $80 for 1HR massage. It turned out that rate was for relaxation massage only. For deep tissue, the rate was $90/HR. These seem to be cash prices only. If you pay with credit card, it would be $95 (versus $90) for 1HR deep tissue massage. Not a big deal but this seems to be their pricing structure. Hope this is useful.
